I've lost the weight I wanted to lose, and kept it off for almost a year. But I have not been "perfect". Yesterday just was not a "good" day, I was starving all day and the usual things that work for me, just were not working. So I ended up over, on my calorie intake.

BUT that was yesterday, and here we are, on a whole NEW day. Like Coach said, it's not just about the weight, it's about a healthy lifestyle. There are going to be slips and bumps and uh-oh's in the road. Maybe sometimes we choose to overeat. Maybe sometimes we don't realize how many calories something has in it, til after we eat it. Or we forget to track something we ate, til we're already over the range for the day.

The important thing (for me) is to not give up. Each day is a new opportunity to have another go. I try to learn from my mistakes.... sometimes it seems like all those years of crappy choices, are tough habits to break. But I refuse to stop trying.

Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think - Christopher Robin to Pooh

Thank you for the motivation to get back on track. I did weigh myself this morning and was up a pound but I know it is probably water weight. Not to say that when I went to the kitchen to get coffee this morning I did not look at the doughnuts and think what the heck but...I did not even touch the box. Victory for me!

Hi,

I love your attitude...you will do better tomorrow. While many feel this journey is about losing weight, I think of this journey as one of learning and education--and because we learn more from our mistakes than when we do everything perfectly, we can use times like these to put action steps into place to prevent it from happening again.

Take care!

Coach Nancy

Uggh... crazy day and I forgot to track some of my food which in turn lead to an overage on my calorie intake. I am usually so good about tracking. Well better day tomorrow!
