I totally understand, LINDA! I had a terrible week at work last week and I totally took it out on myself. My "bad day" turned into a "bad week," and I am feeling the same frustration, anxiety, and general depression that you do.
To get out of my funk, I turned to my support system (aka my hubby). We talked about why we eat and what we eat and we discussed ways to make better choices in the future. My husband isn't on a diet, but he is super supportive of my weight-loss goals, so we talked openly about how I was upset with my weight and my food choices, and he made me feel validated. Do you have a good support system? Turn to them! Or turn here, where you have support from thousands of people!
Otherwise, I am just focusing on taking it one day at a time. Sometimes I even feel the need to take it one hour at a time! Today was OK--not perfect, but certainly not as bad as the past week--and I find a lot of solace in that.
