I do the same thing sometimes. My first tip, try to distract yourself through the craving. This works for me most of the time, I'll sip on water and do something to keep my mind busy so I can't think of sweets.
My second tip, moderation. If it is too bad, I will eat a skinny cow ice cream sandwich, or spread a TB of nutella on a graham cracker. It's not the end of the world to indulge a little, just record what you are eating so you hold yourslef more accountable.
