OK. You hit the nail on the head! Are you psychic or something? LOL. Much appreciate your words. Thank you.

When I fall off the wagon I get back on and when I fall off the horse, I do the same... even if it takes a little while.

Archi,

I think the only thing I might do today is drink lots of liquids, sleep and us the ladies to rid myself of this cold. LOL.

Thanks for your support, I really apprecaite you reaching out to me.

CherryAllie,

I'll check out those teas. I have drank them in the past. It'll probably be good for the cold too. Because I feel achy all over I think I'll get back into moving tomorrow and stay in bed and sleep today.

Lilliputianna,

Oh dang, the cold really set in yesterday and I ate under my calories and the combination of food or something gave me a tummy ache. Crazy. So I didn't overeat. Today, I am going to eat/sip broths to hydrate myself and eat little bits in small portions.

Thanks for asking.

I can appreciate the desire to eat when it is cold. I personally like herbal tea (without any sweetener) as a warm me up. If Celestial Seasoning brand tea is in your area, I'd suggest trying some of those. It warms you up without any calories or sweeteners. Food won't make you warm, but moving around will. Get up off your chair and move around a little. Check out some of the short sparkpeople fitness videos online. Just ten minutes. You can do it! emoticon

TANGOKATE,

Don't worry ! These things happen to us all. I hope your back is better this morning.

As I tell all new members,"Don't look at good health or weight loss with an all or nothing mentality". If the only healthy thing you did for yourself today was drink 8 glasses of water, that's still a step in the right direction.

Today, you do your best to watch your portions and eat your veggies.

No worries ! Every little bit really does make a difference.

It sounds like you use eating as a way to solve the world's problems and your own. Unfortunately, that doesn't work.

Also unfortunately, the only person who can do this is you!

If you are eating to keep warm, why not make up a thin vegetable soup and drink a mug of that, like you were having a coffee. That would be nice and warming. Keep yourself occupied as much as you can - it will take your mind of your medicine (food!) Also suggest that as you seem to be having problems getting started again, use that baby steps method - with food and exercise - bearing in mind that your back may not be ready for anything much yet. Mind you, you can still do leg and arm exercises while sitting, and THAT may be enough to motivate you with your food!

Good luck,
Kris

I haven't eaten within my calorie range for two days. I promise to eat within my range tomorrow if you do.

You can do this!! You ate within your calorie range EIGHT days ago, and you weren't any different then than you are now. :) Eating will not help your back, keep you warm, or make your nose better. :) You can do this. You know how. You know what you need. PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION. You don't need to be perfect every day. We are humans. You had some days where you ate over your calorie range. So? What's that mean? Nothing. It means NOTHING. You are still you. You can still do this. You are still a good person who deserves to be healthy! One step at a time, make one decision at a time if you need to, and get yourself back on track. :) You can do this!

Where I live, it's been really cold for the past week. So I ate to keep warm.
I also put my lower back out on Tuesday and didn't get into the Chiropractor until Thursday so I tried to eat the pain away. Funny. It didn't work.
Today, I woke up with a nasal drip attached to my left nostril and ate all day to make my cold go away. That didn't work.

It's been seven days since I ate within my calorie range and I am afraid that I may not be able to corral myself. Will you please give me a little pep talk? I really need one!

Thank you so much!
