I Overate and feeling guilty

If it bothers you to throw the leftovers away, feed them to the birds and small animals. It's winter they'll be grateful for it. I don't do it near the house because of the rodents, I go for a walk and throw them under the bushes in the park

One day of overeating will not make or break your healthy lifestyle. Don't beat yourself up because you didn't want that food to go to waste. As the old song goes,"accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative". Give yourself credit for all the positive things you do for yourself and don't beat yourself up if you're not perfect. You don't have to be perfect to be
healthy.

It was one day. If you were to eat right five out of seven days this week, you'd still be doing better than the average American. And while I don't like wasting food, if you had to throw some out because of spoilage, these things happen too.

Don't worry, you're going to be fine ! Try to eat more healthfully for the rest of the week. Watch your portions and don't starve yourself to compensate. What's done is done. You can't change the past, but you can influence and change the future.

Hi

Instead of focusing on the guilt, try focusing on what happened and see if you can develop an action plan should this happen again. Guilt and shame do nothing to change our behavior, but when we have an action plan in place, when the unexpected comes up, we can put into action the steps we develop when we are not under the stress.

Just remember this incident does not have to derail you from meeting your goal.

Fustration set in, my side by side refrigerator stopped working, and I was able to save mostly everything by placeing it in my freezer. But I became so fustrated because until the repair person gets here, any leftovers need to be thrown out since I have no room to freeze them or put them, so hating to throw anything away, I ate them. It wasn't much, but I still ate it! I cook for a family of four so usually there are a few leftovers.
