I agree about the scale-- could be an uneven floor or the scale's going senile on you. Is it battery operated? Might be as simple as replacing the battery. When I bought my newest scale, I stepped on it maybe 8 times in the store, to make sure it said the same thing every time. And I try to place it on the bathroom floor in exactly the same place every time I weigh in.
As for the measurements-- I'd really give it more time before getting torn up that a particular measurement seems to have gone up. I measure only once a month; it takes time to really see the results of all that exercise. I stand in front of a mirror so I can see if the tape's fairly level. Even so, it can be very difficult to get the measuring tape in exactly the same place, with exactly the same amount of "snug". Take my thigh for example. Unless I took a Sharpie and drew a line around my leg, it's hard for me to tell exactly where I had the tape in the first place. And my thighs are probably the flabbiest part of my body. Did I hold the tape fairly snug (creating a "bump" in the flab), or was it more loose while still being around my leg? sigh. I don't remember the *exact* amount of pressure I used.
Sometimes it seems like the fit of our clothes is almost a better judge of the progress we're making.
