I would also find other ways for measuring progress than the scale if you are becoming too obsessed or letting that number between your toes determine how you feel about yourself.
"Am beginning to feel like my own body is the enemy...." This is a very troubling comment to me. I think you definitely work on the relationship with your body. It is your best friend and will carry you through life if you treat it well.
Why not log how you feel when you eat and your energy levels? Under-eating is not a good and can wreak havoc with your metabolism and body functions. Food is fuel. The goal is not to see how little fuel you can use. Do you run your car on empty to see how far you can go. Please continue to sort this out with your doctor or perhaps consult a nutritionist.
