Jessica,

If you find things are stressful at home, then how about taking a walk ? Some times, a person needs to walk away from stressful situations like these. I know there are six inches of snow on the ground, but put on your boots and layer up. The universe doesn't stop because it snows outside. By now, most people should have shoveled their sidewalks. The cool brisk air will do you some good.

Personally, I enjoy listening to the sound the snow makes as my boot walks across it. You don't have to go out for long. even 15 minutes is something to help reduce your stress.

I'm sorry you're surrounded by negativity! That's definitely hard regardless of whether or not you're trying to get healthy!

It's good that the first thing you thought of was not going to the fridge or turning on the television, but getting out and doing something! That's actually really good!
Even if you're not in the mood for a full on run, you can still go for a walk just to get out and do something.

I started doing that when I was living at my parents' house over the beginning of this year (living with them brought up some major issues). It really helped a lot, and it is now a healthy habit when I have anxiety or too much energy.

Even if you don't want to be out in the cold, walking around the mall, and window shopping will not only serve as an opportunity to walk around, but maybe can serve as some extra motivation!

*You can pray all you want, but if you're not getting up off your butt, NOTHING is going to happen.

*The longer you stay down, the heavier your burden will be when you decide to pick yourself back up.

*I am doing this for ONE reason only: To give myself the life I haven't lived yet

I think getting away and getting some activity will benefit you in so many ways!! Sorry you have a grumpster in your condo now - and hoping his mood improves soon. Try not to let it get you down! Happy activites today and all the best!

I am ready to run out of my condo in the nearly 6 inches of new snow and scream :-( My husband is in such a poor mood...everything that is coming out of his mouth is negative and it is bringing me down. Our daughter will be taking a nap in about an hour and even though sundays are my day off from working out, i am thinking i need to get some of this energy out and away from him before i say or do something I will later regret.

I understand we are all at times in a bad mood or negative but I have started to realize just how negative he is recently( as I start to sort out my stuff and get a healthier) all the time. Ahhh sorry about the rant....just wondering if a very light workout might help even though i am drained of energy. Staying in condo at the same time as our daughter sleeps is not a good idea, because if he going to act this way while she sleeps ( and follow me around ) i will end up going off....and shopping( my other choice) is out of the question, money is tight these days...
