The bad news is everyone loses weight differently men in general have more lean muscle mass so they drop the pounds faster and easier (generally I know there are men that struggle too!!)
I think you should give journaling or tracking a shot.
I have to track because if I eat without thinking I eat too much. why not get a little note book and just jot down what you are eating don't worry about entering it into the computer just make the list for 1 week. Then move to 1 week of making the list and noting when and why you are eating (if they are different) if your eating lunch because it's lunch time yeah, but if you are eating an entire bag of chips at 2 in the afternoon because your boss just dropped 60hours of work on you to have done by Friday that's different or you have that bowl of ice cream because your bored... (things I am guilty of)
Journaling or tracking helps me see not only what but why I am eating so I can make a plan when the stress or boredom hits, making it a bag of 94% fat free pop corn in stead of chips or some yogurt and fresh fruit instead of ice cream. My desk drawers are stuffed with my go to snacks all added to my trackers favorites so all I have to do is click on them.
My experience is that if I think before I eat i.e. journal and plan meals I make better choices.
hang in there it takes a while to find your groove!
When I wake up in the morning till I lay my head to rest, everyday of my life I am blessed!
