Was it just a weigh-in? Maybe your doctor is forgetting about fat vs. muscle. If you're working hard, you probably just have gained muscle and, even if you've lost some fat, it's now taking the place of fat on the scale. Without him measuring your percent body fat he shouldn't say you're not on track!

Kiah,

Do not despair. Many of us, me included, thought we too were destined to a life of being overweight, but it doesn't have to be that way. In fact just by making small permanent changes in your daily life can lead to big results down the road. It is amazing how all the little things add up. Hang in there!

some doctors can be mean, unless if he has been there himself, he has no idea what it's like. Everyone is different at losing weight. It came off easily for me for the last year or so, now for the last 6-7 weeks, I've plateaued. Not much I can do about it, I'll get out of it eventually. Cannot wait to lose the last few pounds, enough about me.

It can be VERY fustrating at losing (it's taking too long, etc), I've complained when I'm at a plateau (just a little bump here and there, happens to all of us, some short, some very long). Just realize it will happen eventually, at it's own pace (though I usually hate hearing it myself, I sometimes feel as if it'll ever happen, but it will).

How is it that he wants you to lose weight? Maybe his goals are unrealistic.

Went to the doc today and it was bad news, he says that I am not losing the weight like he would like. And it sucks so bad I just wanted to throw myself on the floor like a little kid and throw a fit. I felt like I was trying so hard, and now I feel like giving up and going to the chinese buffet and eating till I cant lift my fork anymore. But I wont cause that would just defeat the purpose. just so frustrated and I know that being overweight is not the way I want to live the rest of my life.

Soft-Serve Banana "Ice Cream"
Submitted By: SP_STEPF

Frozen bananas rival soft serve when given a whirl in the food processor. Trust me, it's AMAZING: no fat, no cholesterol, no added sugar, just creamy and sweet bananas!
My brother and boyfriend loved this treat! I found this recipe on a raw foods website and modified it slightly. I topped mine with a tablespoon of pure maple syrup mixed with 2 t dark cocoa powder. Full Recipe
