You had a bad day. Good thing a day only has 24 hours in them, they eventually end. Tomorrow is not bad, make the best of it, make it the best day.

Make a sincere apology to your hurt friend and let her know that you never meant to cause her any pain. we all say things that we shouldn't every now and then, the important thing is to get past it.

As for your eyes I agree with the other comments about tea bags. I have used them when I have had pink eye in the past and it works wonders! The warm is definately preferable, just make sure not to burn your lids.

Try taking a relaxing bath to help soothe your nerves. Light a scented candle and just BREATHE. You will find yourself calming down in no time.

Best of luck for a better day tomorrow! Each morning brings with it a fresh start!

Moisten two tea bags in cold water, chill them in the refrigerator and place them over closed eyelids for several minutes.

Place cucumbers over your eyes while lying down in a quiet room. You can also use a slice of a raw potato. Leave it there for at least 15 minutes.

Witch hazel is a natural remedy. Here, just dampen a cotton terry cloth with witch hazel and place over your eyes while lying down. Rest for at least 15 minutes.

Lukewarm teabags are good for swollen eyes, I've heard.

As to the rest of it, boo! I know some days a million little things tumble down on top of your head and you just feel like packing it in or trying to call do-over (which never works, unfortunately).

It might seem a bit trite, but remember what Miss Stacy said to Anne Shirley: "Tomorrow is always fresh with no mistakes in it."

Tomorrow will be better!

Having a challenging day today. I wasn't thinking at work and hurt one of my girlfriends feelings. Just totally stuck my foot in my mouth, BIG TIME. Really pigged out last night, and can't really figure out why. Hormonal? I know people have bigger problems but I feel like I have just had an avalanche of little things. Like I slipped at work and feel like I strained a muscle. Boo. Then I took some OTC thing like tylenol or something and I think I am having an allergic reaction. My eyes are swelling up. Grrrr. I know this is all little stuff, but all together it's driving my batty!

I normally have such a good attitude but I am having trouble not feeling upset. Any wise words? Anything would help.

BTW does anyone know what do do if your eyes are swelling up? I have been putting a warm compress on them. (I can't take benedryl because I am allergic to it.) emoticon
