Good advise already given. I also have noticed that if I don't wear things that I know will be a little too snug, give me that "muffin top" look, or show my arm flab...I feel better about myself. Nobody WANTS to buy bigger clothes, but maybe wear the things that conceal your problem areas a little more?

Trust me- I know what you mean. I can have a great day, everything's going so well, feel good and then BAM! I walk by a mirror and cannot believe how big my butt is! I have really started trying to stop right where I am and look back at myself, smile, and say something positive. If I'm not going to be nice to me, who is?

Terrific that you are losing! Just make sure you are doing what you can to improve your health and your body, in addition to losing weight. So, I recommend eating as "clean" as possible, and also doing strength training. These two things have helped me reshape my body with only 15 pounds of weight loss.

Hang in there!!

We all have those days!! I feel for ya... But you should try measuring your waste or other problem areas... then you'll have proof of what you lost!!! But you have to think about the future... If you feel uncomfortable with yourself now, it's only going to get worse if you don't do anything about it!!! So keep up the hard work and try to stay motivated and positive. Good luck :) emoticon

You don't sound ridiculous! I've been there, actually I'm there right now. Sometimes we have those days where we're just sick of our bodies. But the best advice I can give is to just keep doing what you're doing. You've lost nine pounds so you're obviously on the right track. Don't give up! You can do this!!!!!

Make your own opportunities!

Coog,

The amount will vary from person to person, but it took me almost 25 pounds before I could really see the difference in photos, but I knew when I started my final weight loss journey almost 5 years ago, nothing was going to deter me from meeting my goals...and I am still in the game.

I will say if you are hungry, then by all means eat something now. Delaying giving your body what it needs, you may find yourself in a binge later.

I wish you well!
Nancy

So, I was just reading and writing a bunch of positive blogs and message posts and then all of the sudden I looked down and my belly was popping out the bottom of my top...now I just feel big and unmotivated. I'm hungry and I don't want to go right from work to the gym...
I have lost 9 pounds and I think I look exactly the same. How much weight do I have to lose before I actually start SEEING results?

Sorry to whine...I know it sounds a little ridiculous but I'm just venting I guess

Chef Meg's Cocoa Crusted Pork Tenderloin

This dish seems exotic, but it uses spices and ingredients you already have around the house. Coffee, cocoa and cinnamon stand up well to heat, and you'll wonder why you've been relegating them to dessert!
Serve this dish with mole sauce!

This amazing dish was inspired by Costa Rican spices. Full Recipe
