I had to have mine removed 7 years ago..and some days it *still* feels like I'm recouping.

All I can suggest is - take it easy. The first few months I remember relying on broths, simple grains, and low-fat proteins. Your body will tell you VERY quickly what you can process and what you can't. (Different people have different foods that will trigger symptoms of what I call "ghost gall bladder")

There are some food combinations that will help you process higher-fat foods (e.g., ginger, saurkraut, etc.) I'd definitely recommend going to google and finding resources.

Best of luck in your recovery!

Did your doc recommend any restrictions? Some people have problems with fats and veggies after this type of surgery. You may see what he recommends. I wish you well!
