Due to a pile of stress I like to call my personal life, I have been having trouble fitting in very much fitness, and only sporadically at best. When the new Fit,Firm and Fired Up DVD was released, I promised myself that not only would I be more consistent about finding time for fitness, but I would go back to doing some strength training, which I really had barely touched in years.
It's been over a month now, of doing ten minutes of strength training a day. Every morning, I have been sitting in the tub and staring at my legs. I swear they already look trimmer. My wist feels more toned, even under the weight I have left to lose.
I want to take some before and after pictures quick, before I miss any more changes.

I am starting Week 2 of the 28-day challenge. It's important for me to gain some momentum by keeping these promises to myself... drinking water, eating healthy foods, and exercising daily!! The book is really inspiring and empowering.

I'm turning 47 tomorrow and although I don't mind aging, I am sort of concerned about how I've grown to just not care about my weight. When I was young I was too concerned with it. Now it's like I don't give a hoot. So I want to change that and find a happy medium. I like the idea of looking as good "as possible" for my age. I don't want to push unrealistic standards on myself by expecting perfection, but having a couch potato body is too low a standard to have.

My motivation today is the same as every day: I want to stay healthy! BTW Aunt Lynnard, check out the "Reports" on your regular SparkPoints page. You can run a report at the end of every day that will show you exactly how many calories you have burned in relation to how many you've taken in. That "differential" can be an eye-opener. Good MORNING!!!! Today, my itty bitty step is 'DO-ABLE' for anyone! And it's what motivated me for today. A friend just onformed me that it takes burning 3,500 calories a week to lose 1 lb. of body fat..... I NEVER KNEW THAT! So, it's possible to make an itty bitty change daily, to make a big change weekly! I fgure that comes out to 500 calories or one mixed drink a day...or just a little bit further on the ...487 calories is my most to date....for a weekly total of 1 lb. of body fat GONE!!!! However you get it done.....big steps, or small steps....getting it done is the biggest accomplishment to make!!!! Just wanted to share and help motivate someone today! LET'S GO DO THIS!!!!!!!! ~Aunt Lynnard On to the

A nagging backache. When I was "on track" last spring and working out regularly and eating well, I felt SO much better. Now that I have slacked off and been eating terrible and have gained back ALL of the weight I lost last year, my backache has returned. SO now I am going to start this process over again, and make a new start, and start feeling better again.
