If the staff at a restaurant are being unprofessional, ask to speak to a manager. That'll cut down on the snark right quick.

If you are happy with your choices, that's all that counts. Do your best to ignore the immaturity around you and enjoy your meals.

I am currently on a low carb diet and find it quite enjoyable. My issue is, I am constantly getting nasty looks, shameful eyes, laughs, and snickers at my food choices when I'm out to eat. I would train staff to be accepting of different diets and needs, not to make fun of them.
