First...gotta pee!

Then I just get excited about the day and need to get up and get started! Coffee and the thought of a yummy breakfast really helps with that.

Thank you everyone for your replys! So far I am doing better. I have been setting my cell alarm for about 30 minutes earlier. If I'm tired and want to sleep more then I have to tell myself I will have to exercise after work, that usually get's me out of bed lol I've decided if I only have 15 min then that is better than nothing. Then on the weekends when I have more time I try to get at least 1 hour in. It's so easy to exercise when you are a home (stay at home mom/etc) but when you are trying to work I find it very hard to balance my life. If only I could find a way to make money at home, I'd always get my workout in...my dream lol Thanks again everyone, I really enjoyed reading your replys!!!

I only get up because I have to take dd to school (no bus). Mornings are NOT my favorite time of day. I do what I have to do, but don't much like it...

Set your alarm as loud as it will go. Then, place it on the opposite side of the room so when it goes off, you have to get out of bed to turn it off. That's what I did when I use to have to wake up at 3:30am to be at work by 5:30am.

I walk with a friend all year round three days a week, no excuses at 5:30 our alarms go off. It truly is the best part of my day. We don't think about it we just go

I've acknowledged that I just can't get up early to exercise - it's WAY too easy to stay in bed! Don't forget that afternoon workouts work too. The workout you do is the one that works! emoticon

I'm naturally a morning person, but I remember that even 10 minutes of exercise makes me a less stressed out high school teacher and mom.

Thanks everyone! I think "coffee" is the winner! lol Ok, gonna try to give it a shot this year and get myself up out of bed early - I'll take all your advice and put the coffee on 1st thing! :)

Getting my 16 year old to school. I drop him off about 8:45 AM and then hit the walking trails - the park and outside in the warmer months, mall walking when it's too cold out.

I'd have to agree with the coffee. I love coffee first thing in the morning, and if I know when that alarm goes off, that there is already coffee made in the kitchen-- it's a lot easier to get out of that bed. Programmable coffee makers are pretty cheap these days, and I usually set it up while I'm cleaning up the kitchen after supper.

I'd also agree with Rebcca, that I love how I feel after a workout. AND I really like knowing all day long, that I've gotten my exercise in and started the day out on the right foot.

Good morning CHICA1967,

emoticon Coffee is the first thing that gets me out of bed in the mornings.
What gets me out for a workout is knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt that I will feel energized, alive and more empowered by doing a workout. I have NEVER regretted doing my daily walk, bike ride etc.

Set yourself up for success by laying out your workout clothes the night before and let them serve as reminders of your intent. emoticon

I'm having trouble getting up in the morning to workout before work. I am to tired after work and feel like if I don't do it in the mornings before work it won't get done. Any suggestions?
