'Rest' doesn't--shouldn't--mean 'do-nothing' but your body DOES need repair and down time. Alternating intense workouts with gentle walking, for instance, keeps satisfaction higher.

On the other hand, if you don't feel 'good' because of guilt, you need to work on that issue. We don't need more areas in our lives where the only pace is 'as fast as you can go.'

I rarely have a day when I do not exercise, unless I have the flu or something happens that is beyond my control. On rest days I do less. If I don't do anything, I don't want to the next day either, and I also get in a depressed mood.
