Hi

I'm so excited to find an active group! I used to be a member of eDiets and we would have a list of healthy habits that we would do daily. For example drink 64 oz. of water, exercise 30 minutes, don't eat junk food, etc. and we would earn points. We participated against other teams. It was fun and often I would get extra exercise simply because I wanted to help my team. If anybody is interested in that type of thing, I may be able to find the list of activities and points. I have put on 20 pounds since March 1st and attribute it to 2 things: I read It Starts With Food and tried the Paleo diet which does not limit fats and I think I overdid it and I quit smoking and replaced the stupid cigarettes with nuts and potato chips. I'm still wearing the patch and won't be completely finished until the weekend after Christmas, but the worst is behind me.

Linda

Trust the process. As long as you are embracing healthy habits change is happening within you. ~ Coach Nancy

Sometimes less is better. Maybe over the next couple weeks we can come up with a challenge for the month of January. Do you have any workout videos you can do at home? I have so many. One of my favorites is Zumba. Back in 2011 I was around 125 and stuck there for a while so I decided to try Zumba. Bought the videos and within 2 weeks was down to 117. It really worked to help me break through my plateau.

Yes! It may take awhile to get some people but even if it's just us at first!

That sounds like exactly what I'm looking for on here. There's so many teams and challenges but alot of them are inactive. I'm going to look up your team so I can join.

A few years ago I joined a valentines day challenge. It helped me stay on track during the holidays with a little more time after to reach my goal. I wanted to do something like that again but when I came back on sparkpeople I couldn't find many active teams and the message boards are so crowded it's hard to join in and read everything.

What we did a few years ago was we would talk everyday and update the team on how we did that day reaching our goals. So I have started a sparkteam. Called valentines day challenge 2014. I'm looking for people who want to join and make the team however we want it to help us reach our goals. A place to get in from the beginning instead of joining a team where it's just super hard to catch up on what others are talking about. I had a few people interested just waiting for them to Jioin

Come help keep each other motivated!
