Congratulations on having quit smoking. That is singly the most important thing that you could do for your health - even over weight-loss, so you have achieved MUCH!!!!
Don't beat yourself up for having forgone the exercise - it isn't best to focus on TWO major changes at one time and as the smoking took/takes precedence, you have done the right thing.
As far as getting back into exercise, just start with baby steps. You did it before, and you can do it again. Make one or two little changes to start with and only when your mind/body has gotten used to them, add something else to the mix.
In no time at all you will be 'full steam ahead" :-)
Congratulations on quitting smoking --- that is an awesome achievement!!!
I quit about a year ago, and for the longest time, I felt like that took all of the energy I would have otherwise had for any other kind of health activity. It took everything I had just to not smoke...I had nothing left to put into eating right or exercising. The good news is that IT GETS EASIER!!!! A year later, I'm back to working out, cooking health meals, and just generally taking better care of myself.
So don't be discouraged!!! Just give yourself some time to adjust to this major (and SUPER POSITIVE) life change!

I need to get back in the zone! I quit smoking in October which meant all exercise went down the drain and i put on nearly a stone because I'm one of them people that have to exercise daily, otherwise I just pile on the pounds. So no exercise has done this 2 me, but on the plus side after roughly 8 years i am official non smoker no going back so that's always good.
