Thanks for the reply, Lotus737. I usually "run" (3.6 mph) three days a week for 50 minutes with a warm up and cool down to even it out to an hour, work out to a Dancing With The Stars exercise dvd most nights, try to do some strength training on days I don't run and I like finding new videos to try of varying things, mostly cardio.
Dedicating a day to yoga would probably be a good idea for me, I do spend a lot of time stretching but it's usually part of a cool down. I think I will do that tomorrow.
I'm using the fitness tracker here to track my calories, to me it seems pretty accurate. Before I signed up here I was just making sure I got sweaty twice a day, it seems to be working. I feel great, I'm feeling a little achy and rolling baseballs around the wall with my back to loosen up tight spots but I would expect that to be normal for a 53 year old just starting to exercise regularly. My energy and mood is through the roof!
Thanks for your comments, they really helped me a lot!
Your soul is rooting for you.
