I used a Fitbit first and did find it very motivational to meet daily step goals. I got the Spark Activity Tracker several months ago and find it has benefits as well. It really depends on the types of workouts you do. If you are walking, running or using an elliptical or indoor bike, the SAT captures those workouts great for me and makes recording my work outs in the tracker a breeze. I still use my Fitbit but only to record workouts for my insurance company since they do not recognize the SAT (yet!
Hope that helps.
