I had to look at getting healthier and losing weight as something I was doing for me not anyone else. Not for a special occasion, not before a trip, not because I wanted people to tell me I looked good. Only then did I have the lightbulb moment that I was making changes for life not for the short term.
Losing weight and getting fitter helps your health both physical and mental. No it doesn't make all your problems go away, but success can help give you the confidence to tackle those problems and come up with solutions.
