I'm just starting to learn about these and have been to a couple programs where a representative of Young Living talked about them and let us sample them. They are expensive but I would like to get a few to start and experiment with them. I do think it's important to get the "real thing" and not the cheaper ones that contain chemicals.

I also have started using essential oils, purchasing them through doterra, as they are a MLM company, I was only purchased until I did the research and found several companies online and my local health food store, whole foods also spoke with a dietitian and an epidemiologist for the CDC.

I am not a fan of MLM, I ran out of a $21 bottle do terra oil and replaced it with a $4.99 larger bottle from NOW foods, they have great educational and safety data available on every product. Not an MLM so you're only paying for the product and not sales commission for your salesman and everyone above them.

I also am useing Bulk Apothecary, same non MLM savings.

I would love to one day dabble in processing my own oils, sometime when life gets less hectic, for now just trying to get healthy and stay within budget without drinking the Kool aid.

I was introduced to doTerra almost a year ago, and love them. My understanding is that only doTerra and Young Living are safe to ingest. This is because they are pure. Doterra has nutritional labels on the sides of the bottle that are safe to take internally. I have even found a few that help with fatigue and boost your metabolism. I love to share my oils, so anyone who would like to try a sample can contact me =) Good luck in your search, and I hope you find what works for you.

I only use doterra. The ones in the store that I have seen have said "Do not ingest" and have had labels warning about skin irritation. I'll never go back to those. I've seen drastic improvements in my family since starting doterra.

Use Young Essential Living Oils. I love them. I have a few different ones. Lavendar on my feet at night helps me sleep better.

I use Young Living Essential Oils - spark mail me if you'd like to learn more. I consider them therapeutic, spiritual essential oils.

The one I've seen presented and used is doTerra. I believe these are available via private individuals who represent the company. -- I had some food where an oil was used in the recipe. Also, I had a massage where an oil was used for that.

Go to a health food store - they will have pure essential oils there. The brands that come to mind at the moment are Now and Aura Cacia (sp?). You can also find them online.

Did you try health food stores? I used to get mine there. Well, that was decades ago and in a university town. There was only one healthfood store and they carried an amazing variety of items. You could also try online to see what is available. Good luck.

I didn't know where to post this. I am hearing a lot about essential oils but when I went to the store everything oil related was full of chemicals. I realized these couldn't be essential oils if they were packed with chemicals. Does anyone have any favorite organic brands?
