I'd have to agree that you need to check first with your doctor. That said.... I'd also agree that there are a lot of videos here on Spark, including seated cardio ones. I'd skip anything that has to do with bouncing the legs around. I read something a while back about a woman who had mobility issues-- she lost 70 pounds and for exercise she did zumba sitting down.... basically all the arms & torso stuff and no legs.
Instead of looking at it as, I can't do this and I can't do that..... how about looking at it as a challenge and an opportunity. Look for what you CAN do. Weight loss is 80% what/ how much you eat. Maybe while you're off your feet a bit, you can concentrate a bit more on your meal plan.... browsing for recipes.... batch cooking a lot of stuff and freezing in single-serve portions. Catch up on the fitness magazine articles you've been meaning to read. Come up with a new strength training plan for your upper body and abs.
Most of all, right now "job one" (as they used to say in those commercials) is letting your ankle heal. There will be nothing gained by either rushing back too soon, or re-injuring it.
