Start small. The main reason a lot of people don't ever do anything is because they feel like it's all or nothing.
I started REALLY small. I started mixing my pasta half and half, whole wheat and regular. With t hat tiny step, I was able to reduce portions, stay fuller longer... and realize that eating healthier wasn't all that bad. :) From there I started making small changes (baby steps, as they're called here) that built on previous successes. I started measuring my pasta so I was only preparing an actual 2 oz serving. I started focusing on getting more veggies. I aimed to follow the government's food plate.
Build a base of basics. Don't try to change your entire lifestyle at once!
