I am another one who knows exactly how you feel. If you ever feel like or have eaten to much, do a little excercise. If I ever eat more than I write in my food journal, I compensate with excercise. The more down you are on yourself, the less productive you will be. You've lost 24lbs, so you know you can lose weight if you really wanted to!

I know exactly how you feel. I have lost almost 30 pounds and am very proud of that but I've fallen off the rails and don't really know why. I had an exercise spark streak of 62 days of at least 30 min or more per day and did great but now I can't seem to make myself do anything right. I don't want to exercise. I try to eat good things but it seems to fall apart after dinner. I reflect on why I want to lose but nothing seems to get me back in the right frame of mind. It is really hard when the mojo is gone and there are so many other things that interfere in your life. Totally understand and all I can say is don't be too hard on yourself and try to change one thing each week to get back to the right place. We can do this.

Lay aside life-harming heaviness and entertain a cheerful disposition.

I read a great concept a while back here on the board (wish I could remember who said it)......

If you get a flat tire, do you pull over, stare at it, and think that since one is ruined you may as well flatten the others----or do you get out the spare, fix it, and get on your way?

I like the idea of easing back into it....Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither is a healthy life.

We all have our lapses. Everyone ...every one. But we just don't beat ourselves up because it is not productive. Instead we just get up and say today is a new day and we get to start over and do it right that day. Life is really just one day at a time anyway. You can get better and better and then if you slip -- just simply move on and get it right the next day! No guilt, no negativity, just do it! Nike has it right!

Glad you're back doing it!
You've hit the nail on the head - I feel totally out of control. Lack of good nutrition has left me tired and weepy.
Maybe I should start my journey over? Start small again? Thoughts?

I know how you are feeling. I started SP years ago and lost 43lbs. Now I'm back to get off what I gained back and the rest of what I need to loose now another 40lbs.

Both times before I got back on track I went through 'Starters Anxiety'. Everytime I told myself it was time to get started, I would end up eating everything in sight then beat myself up for it.

I finally sat down and remembered how much better I felt when I was eating what my body really needed. How much more energy and time I had because life wasn't centered around food anymore. I took a couple days, got organized, made a plan and eased back on track.

I was amazed at the tension and anxiety that left when I took control again. Especially when life gets so hectic. Knowing that you have a firm grip on one aspect of your life, is empowering.

Yesterday is done and over, plan for tomorrow and go for it, you deserve a full and fullfilled life. My favorite saying from Karate is 'fall down seven, get up eight'. Trust me in karate you do a lot of hitting the mat, but no one remembers the fall if you get back up.

Best wishes!

Thank you!!!
And yes, I was a meticulous planner and haven't even got a clue for breakfast tomorrow.
It is an emotional week ( won't bore you) but kind of feel like I'm making excuses and just can't cut this.
So, deep breath, I'll try a podcast later.

There's nothing wrong with you...it happens to all of us. But, you can DECIDE to shake it off, leave those bad days behind, and get back on track. Before you do, I'd suggest looking at what happened....was it lack of planning, or perhaps you weren't allowing yourself enough leeway in your daily intake and then fell off the cliff when vacation came around? Is something bothering you? The good thing about experiences like this is that you can learn from them, if you choose to.

Until the kiddos get back in school, just focus on your diet and getting it back on track. Fit in some exercise where you can (running ain't everything, you know). How about a couple of short spark videos, or an exercise DVD done during naptime?

So, I've managed to lose 24 lbs, nearly half way. Now before anyone says well done, right now I suck.
I went on holiday last week and went off plan. I came back Saturday but here I am on Tuesday still eating like a pig.
The weathers awful, the kids are off school ( 5, 6 and 11 months) so my running has had to go ( am a single mum).
All that hard work for nothing. What the heck is wrong with me?
So here i am, back on the boards, begging for support and help.
