Hello Rach,

At least 80% of weight management is about nutrition. If you make your page and trackers public it would be possible to be more specific. Bonus to going public for me was that it did make me more accountable. Maybe this would work for you too.
I sometimes weigh every day but only count my weight on the same weigh-in day each week.
Sounds like you have already re-committed to moving forward on this healthy lifestyle path. emoticon
I do wish you success and fun along the way. emoticon

Thank you both! I am feeling better now that i've read what you've said. I'm trying to think positive and keep at it, but it's hard when you don't see any lbs or even ounces falling off!! I am going to try and hold off weighing myself everyday. Maybe every other day and working my way to only once a week. I am going to continue to work out and do what i feel is setting myself up for success. Again, i appreciate everything y'all said. It really has made me feel better! :)

Your page is private, so I can't see your trackers.

First, the pp is right. When you are doing new exercises, your muscles retain water. (often) and the gain is temporary. Also, you could have shocked your system with all the new, and it is holding on to your weight right now, but usually after a month, you will have a big loss. Your body will realize this is the new way, and let it all go.

I only weigh myself once a month. I get too obsessed and discouraged otherwise.

If these habits are truly part of a lifestyle change that you are implementing, don't worry, you will get used to it and so will your body, and you will reach your goals!

Don't fret Rach!!! When your body is not used to working out, you will often retain more water in your muscles. It takes some time for your body to adjust and for it to "let go" of that water. I'm assuming that you have been eating well too, but if not...make sure you do! Diet is 80% of weight loss with exercise really only making up the last 20%.

Hang in there, keep working on it. There isn't always instant gratification...or even semi-fast gratification. That is a good thing. You want to lose slowly, but steadily and that will happen if you keep at it.

Also, start measuring yourself, go by how your clothes feel...anything other than the scale!! Good luck, you can do it!

For the last 4 days i've been working my a$$ off in workouts. I'm also doing this when i come home from work. My job itself is very active. I'm on my feet all day, leaning, bending, etc. It's fast paced. Anyways, first day of working out i lost like 2 lbs. Everyday after i've been gaining (total of .8) I know a lot of you are going to tell me "don't weigh yourself everyday!". I know i shouldn't, but it's something i do to keep me on my toes. I want to make sure i'm doing enough and making every workout count. Right now i am kinda discouraged. I don't feel like falling of my diet, but i feel like not working out. Am i gaining muscle? Am i not doing enough? Am i not eating enough? I am just so confused and it's so aggravating!! I feel like i should be losing a lot rather than gaining.I know it will eventually pass, but i don't know what to do until then. Help!
