As you and I were riding the trail yesterday . . . wasn't it wondrous the way the path became so clear and open. It seem to expand to forever in a light and joyful way. I am so blessed to know you. Your thoughts are so focused on the positive . . . and as you show me each day . . . what you focus upon expands!

Focusing on love and light, Acceptance

Kindness is an inner desire that makes us want to do good things even if we do not get anything in return. It is the joy of our life to do them. When we do good things from this inner desire, there is kindness in everything we think, say, want and do.

I am grateful...

- for all the things that turned out well and which were successful over the last few days, far far outweighing the one or 2 things that did not go as anticipated/desired
- perfecting the humble peanut butter cookie...a mission of mine for some time, to make MY ideal version of this treat
- excellent weather for walking, running, riding, for enjoying being
- a fridge full of cooked meals for the next several days, making evenings more pleasant and less rushed, and allowing greater ease for "fast" food that is nutrutious and tasty
- all that my mom does for our family and optimism she can slow down her schedule soon

Death can come at any minute, in any way. We do not know what is in store tomorrow, or, whether there is a tomorrow, or even a tonight! But still, we have the golden present. Now we are alive and kicking. What should we do now? Love all, serve all.

Word for the Day, www.gratefulness.org/word/index.htm

Good evening,

With the accidental death of a friend less than two weeks ago, today's Word for the Day, by my teacher, had special significance.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder, and here I am cherishing this community even more after my absence~~

~ a new friend, who is ever-so generous, sharing wonderful gifts with me from her bounty of material goods

~ a great weekend with a girlfriend which was full of wonderful planned events and serendipitous unplanned events

~ wonderfully surprised to see said new friend at a musical event, just over a year after our first meeting at the same place (UU Church)

~ happily tired and planning on heading to bed soon

~ created an exotic new entree which was enjoyed by my house guest as well as me

Blessed be,
xox

On this rainy cool morning, appreciations that come to mind include:
-Mingling close with 5 Alpaca’s, feeling the soft fur of one of the babies, resonating w/ the legend of heavenly heritage and savoring their gentle energy*
-Offering of these Alpaca’s yarn which I plan to use in crochet project (light and warm)
-Fun chat about history of our town with shoe repairman and fellow customer
-Convertible driving in perfect weather with new music R compiled for me
-Orders received on my website, eBay store and auto mailed
-Breakfast date shared w/R

*Alpacas are associated with the goddess "Pachmana", the Earth Mother, in Andean mythology. It was believed that alpacas were loaned to humans, to be left on earth for only as long as they were properly cared for and respected. According to this legend, alpacas were given as a gift at the mountain Ausangate in Peru.

Prayer is an act of love, words are not needed.

Good afternoon,

Rebecca, I'm fearful of the clip-ons AND I don't have the "body forward" type of frame either, though I'm not sure that completely matters. I'm sure they would improve my speed and perhaps enhance my endurance on hilly routes. Today there's so much to be thankful for~~

~ a pajama party with a good friend tonight after festivities out

~ considering a hiking adventure tomorrow...we'll see what the day brings weather-wise, etc.

~ my friend is also bringing her bike, so we have biking adventures ahead as well

~ a delightful lunch of warmed whole wheat tortilla, 130 cal.; cream cheese spread, 45 cal.; cucumber, 8 cal. and a sprinkling of salt; giant fudgecicle for dessert, 100 cal. -- which was filling and really hit the spot

~ in the process of cleaning garden-fresh greens to saute for dinner

Blessed be,
xox

I recognize what I have to be grateful for...

- absolutely perfect weather
- putting a list together, even for weekend "down time", for next few days because I know I function better that way and am happier
- my car repair being less costly than I feared
- the library that's a 10 min walk from my house...(this is on my list/above, as I'm a chapter away from being out of reading material!)
- leftover chicken and pasta salad with fresh herbs from garden for lunch - yay for leftovers!!

-Intentions to take advantage of the cooler weather this week with walks and/or bike rides
-A wonderful salad they made downstairs in my cafeteria at work - chickpeas, peas, coconut, coconut milk, mint and jalapeño - it is WONDERFUL!!!
-Tomato caprese made by my partner last night - another wonderful

Make it an excellent day!!
