Well...I never cared for booze after I was 19-20 and now I don't drink at all so I don't have a TON of suggestions for this except - I KNOW there's 10 calorie beer out there...if you're into mixed drinks - I know there's skinny margaritas as well...that's all I got on that.
As far as exercise - depends on your budget. If you LIKE water sports and things...maybe a gym isn't for you this summer, maybe you ARE better off doing something fun like swimming (my love!!), water skiing, kayaking, etc. if you have the equipment or can borrow/rent cheap. Otherwise, I know one reason I won't go to a gym is I have social anxiety so I hate the idea of someone watching my flab sway in the wind as I'm going on the treadmill LOL! So instead I opt for powerwalking a mile 3x a week and I strength train at home with some exercises I learned from Sparkpeople demos on the fitness tracker. I think the dumbbells were like 7 bucks each at Walmart, which comparitvely to a decent gym is cheap.
EDIT: Incorporate healthy fats into your diet...or you're gonna be a GROUCH...monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats are your go to snacks i.e. nuts, seeds, I personally like sunflower kernals. :) Stay away from too many carbs and protein keeps you full. Chicken is a GREAT source of protein and low in calorie!
Good luck! You can do this. Just make sure you're in it for the right reasons - like getting healthy..and FOR YOURSELF. If you do it for anyone else or for vanity, you're more likely to give up. Stay strong! :)
