I lost a total of 6.4 pounds in the month of June. It's not 10 pounds but it is still amazing and I'm really happy with all my hard work. Bring it on July!!

As I weighed myself today, I realized I completely forgot to post last week! In the past two weeks, I lost a combined 3 pounds. That means for the month of June I lost a total of 9 pounds! I was hoping to reach the full 10 but I had a couple binge days last week that threw me off. Either way, 9 pounds isn't bad!

Congratulations to everyone and their achievements! It's so wonderful talking to positive and uplifting people, especially when trying to lose weight. You guys are all super awesome and I look forward to seeing you in July's challenge! :)

I didn't make the 10 pounds, but I did get to the top of that mountain. (goal I had set for the end of June). and I probably lost about 5 pounds, will have to see what tomorrows numbers say. for me that is fantastic

Well, I just had my final weigh in for June and I lost another pound.:) I didn't make the ten pound loss over the month, unfortunately, but I still lost every week and am pleased with what I did lose. I am definitely joining the July challenge. I'm on holiday next week so will miss my first weigh in. Hopefully I can stay on track whilst away.

And the best part for Lisa is there's still another week this month !! Way To Go Lady!!
Selina: Hang in thar... I all too well know what you feel!!

I'm quite happy with my weigh in today.... After 8 long days on the plus side by 1 to 3(!) pounds...the last four days have seen a steady drop --Finally!! So I end my week on the same weight as last weeks average.... That still puts my weekly average on the higher side, but I'm not complaining. Just looking forward to working on keeping that drop real and heading on down for this next week!

I'm always embarrassed to write when I fail, but I just have to be fair and admit it.
I lost 5 lbs this month, but this last week has been tough because of the awful heat here. I keep gaining and losing the same 2 lbs, like my body can't get rid of them once and for all.

Well, what's done is done, it's time to prepare for the last week of June.
One more week ahead of us!

Aw, Knuckles, please don't be discouraged! Everyone goes through times when slimming gets difficult. If you stick at it you will eventually see the results. I know how frustrating it is when things slow up. I've been a member here for years and have had to restart a few times but I'm gradually getting there and I'm sure you will too if you stick with it. :)

Tammys, I won't make the 10 pounds either but I'm just going to do my best for the remaining days in June. The most i could hope for is two pounds(not enough) and I have been losing less than that recently, so I know I won't make the target.We'll be ending the month lighter than when we started which is the main thing!

Checking in!

My starting weight for this month was 210 pounds, and now I'm just under 206 pounds, which means I've lost a total of 4 pounds so far this month. I'm quite pleased with that, I do really want to lose the whole 10 pounds but I know that with only 8 days left to the end of the month that's not really realistic!

I'll be very very happy however if I can drop another 3 pounds by the end of June! I believe that can be done - I'm going on vacation though so this challenge is going to make sure I stay focused when I'm abroad with the whole eating thing!

emoticon So far this week...not looking good!
....I have somehow found the 1.8 that LISS741 lost....and the one that Wendi lost too....!

My weigh in on Monday might be a bit of a downer, but I'm putting myself on notice that I will NOT "Search for and Rescue" anyone's else's lost pounds the rest of this month!!

Its kind of intriguing that I went up about 2 lbs during my visit to my Dad's place over a week ago--totally not surprising to me as I ate out several times, and visited the cookie jar--- but now it is like my body desperately latched on to it, and won't let go again! I really hoping to experience one of those 'breakthrough' drops one of these days...! I'm back on track and having a good week, so time will tell....

I don't seem to be having such a good week this week. My weights fluctuated quite a bit and this morning was only half a pound down since I weighed in last Saturday. Hopefully i can manage a pound by Saturday but, if not, at least I'm heading in the right direction.

I weighed in this morning and I'm back on track! I've lost exactly 5 lbs this month!

LISSABROOKE92, I also sometimes step on and off many times. I think it's great what you lost overall. Great job! I am happy with basically any loss. As long as it's a loss over some period of time, we're moving in the right direction.

LADYSTARWIND, I had dinner around 5.30 - 6h and not a late dinner like two days ago and as I presumed everything is all right now.

So today I went to Publix, my local grocery store that has a scale, and weighed myself. When I first got on I wasn't expecting much of anything. I weighed myself yesterday and only had a .5 pound loss. I usually count Sunday as my official weight day but the scale was down two more pounds today! I literally stepped on and off the scale three times to be super sure. Sure enough, I went from 161.5 to 159.5. I don't know why the scale less of a loss yesterday than it did today but I'm okay with this! 5.5 pounds down, 4.5 to go for June (if I got my math right, I can't remember). I'm 11.5 pounds down overall! Woo!

I weighed myself yesterday and I lost a total of .5 pounds. I'm upset that I didn't lose more since I was trying so hard. This brings me to a 5 pound loss for June and a 10 pound total loss. It's getting kind of discouraging that I'm not losing as quickly as I would like but slow and steady wins the race!

emoticon everyone! It's so nice to come here and read the results, efforts, struggles, support.

As always my late night eating begun to hinder my weight loss. If I eat around 7 or 8 at night, my weight goes up in the morning no matter what I did over the day. So this morning the scale said I gained back 2 pounds. It's a bit frustrating but I'll just try again to reorganize my schedule and get back to my rule "no food after 7", then everything should be all right.

down 2.4 lbs this month so far. I'm trying for 3-4 lbs this month so I'm happy. Great job to everybody that is making the effort.

Goals
March ~ 7 lbs goal met actual (9.4 lbs)
April ~ 5 lbs goal met actual (5.4 lbs)
May ~ 7 lbs goal met actual (7.2 lbs)
June ~ 3-4 lbs goal met actual (3.6 lbs)
July ~ 2-3 lbs

Once I start seeing those lower numbers, I start to recognize that they are POSSIBLE and that they WILL come back soon. This may be the week they return for both of us.

Hi Again! Looks like so many of you are making great progress! Way To Go!!

After some really tantalizing lower numbers popping up last week....the 5 days of the old "family" influence pretty well neutralized my loss pattern! But I'm feeling like this will be a great week again, so Bring It On! I LIKED those lower numbers I saw, so I KNOW I will see them again soon!!!


My start weight was: 143.3
8 June: 142.7
2nd week: 143.2
3rd week:
4th week:

my scale says down half a pound, JC scale says up .4 this week.

All the so called "secrets of success"will not work ... unless you do.

I stayed the same as I was on June first - I have been exercising a LOT and recently upped my eating to accommodate it. I KNOW my BMI is down a bit so I could be gaining muscle OR I could simply be following my typical pattern - a nice loss, followed by a plateau of several weeks and then eventually another NICE loss of 3-5 pounds. After a while you would think I wouldn't let this pattern upset me - I KNOW that with PATIENCE (a virtue that I don't have in great supply) the weight WILL come off and I will probably be happy with my final weigh in of the month although it doesn't really look so good right now. LOL

I didn't lose again this week - June is NOT exactly STELLAR so far - LOL - I am working out really hard and so I could be creating muscle - my BMI was down so I could be doing that - I could ALSO be simply on my typical cycle of a GOOD loss (first of June) followed by several weeks of no losses or even some gains and then a nice loss again. I have been on this roller coaster for a while and my pattern is pretty predictable - I KNOW the loss will come so MAYBE I will still catch up this month. I am staying on program and eating a little more since I am exercising so hard. It WILL come with patience (a virtue that is highly overrated - and one I don't really excel in).

I'm going to jump in mid-month for 5 lbs! I just restarted the whole Sparkpeople thing and this time I'm going without any hard and fast plan. Those never work for more than a few days for me, and I'm at my all-time highest weight. I just need to make as many small heathly choices as I can and make those all add up, instead of following something great, but going 'off diet' and overdoing it.
