Thanks, I know that is true and is the real reason for changing my diet and exercise. Was just hoping to fit into my clothes better by now. My husband and I ride Harleys and summer riding season is here. Wanted it to be easier to throw a leg over. But I guess it will be easier just because the stamina has improved. Need to get on here and track better to see exactly where I'm falling short. I'll have to re-read your comments daily to keep me focused. Thanks again.

PP is 100% right. You gained 2 pounds, but there is NO difference in measurements? That means it wasn't FAT that you gained. It will come off.

I'm not sure what you are eating, but not all calories are equal. 1200 calories might be the right amount, but make sure that you are getting plenty of the fresh, whole foods in there!!!

Bother because it IS making a difference in the things you can't see - like your blood pressure, your heart health, your mental acuity and your life span. Everything you read says exercise and eating healthy is a factor in living a better, happier, longer life. Keep up what your doing and your going to be one of those +80 gals who's still going strong both physically and mentally. You know the one that everyone talks about. And that's were you want to be, so the journey is for the long run. Keep up the good work!! emoticon

I always try to eat healthy but started January 1st to try harder and loose a little weight. I only want to lose about 10 pounds and can't do that. Joined a gym on April 24th to hopefully do better on exercising. I go 3 to 4 days a week. Doing 30 minutes on elliptical and 1 hour on weight machines. I'm 62 years old. In this month I have gained 2 pounds and see no change in body composition. Measurements are the same. I know this isn't a long time but was hoping to see just a little change. I eat approx 1200 calories per day. Some days a little more, some days a little less. I don't know what else to do! I also quit smoking during this month. Feeling like "why bother".
