It does need to come back to your why. When you go to workout, until you get to the point where you work out because you like it, you need to remember that you are working out for your goal: a certain weight, a certain look. Be prepared to not see that instantly, but know that your efforts will get you there eventually.
The same with what you eat.
On an aside, and by way of encouragement, good for you taking this on while you are young! It makes me feel like an old timer, but I remember being your age and heavier than you and not knowing where to start.
