Most people want instant gratification, especially when it comes to weight loss, so you are not alone in that. It does take time though, but it will happen as you stay consistent with your healthy habits. Just as you didn't gain weight overnight, the weight won't come off overnight.
In regards to exercise, I recommend trying a variety of exercises and activities. When you find some things that you enjoy doing or at least don't mind doing, you are more likely to continue doing them. This is about creating healthy habits that you can maintain so you can lose the weight and maintain the weight loss. So perhaps you haven't found exercises and activities that you like doing. Maybe you can try some more new exercises that might be more fun and keep you interested in continuing with your exercise goals. If you exercise alone, maybe you can find a group fitness activity that you can do - sometimes doing that can be very motivating, even if it isn't a large group, or even just one other person to exercise with.
You can do this!
Please note: I will be on maternity leave until early April.
