Hey all! I thought I'd put this question out there to see what motivates everyone! So....what are your long and short term goals? Is there something you are aiming for? Do you have a specific plan to get there?
Personally, I am aiming for two things:
1. I want to be able to do a single push up. I realize that this is a ridiculously low goal, but in my entire life, I have never been able to do a push up. I have been doing a lot of strength training and working on my upper body to aim to do this push up. I am doing partial push ups every day, and making an attempt at the total one. But I am yet to succeed....
2. I want to jog/run a 5k. This is a bigger and more long term goal. I am around 180 lbs right now, and I am doing the couch to 5k program. I have been going for a few weeks and am finding it really enjoyable so far. I'm hoping that I will be able to complete a race by October 2013, which I don't think is an unreasonable goal.
