Saw how much weight everyone is losing....Fantastic! Keep up the positive work! I am changing my food/ nutrition around this week....Hoping to see faster losses..Have lost a bout 8 pounds now..sine starting on Spark website..but around 16 pounds since I retired 2 years ago....Feel zoo much better and have lost inches...Still have about 25 pounds to lose....but still determined.... emoticon emoticon

My next official weigh in isn't until Sunday. BUT...I checked my weight today and I have lost EXACTLY 10 POUNDS! I'm so excited. I started my journey with exercising and eating healthier on April 1st (the day after my birthday.) So, in my first month, I've lost my first 10 pounds! Yay! (My ticker shows 9.5 pounds because I won't officially log another weigh in until Sunday.)

wow--you folks are inspiring to me! Congrats to all and keep up the good work!!

I don't think anyone will get much "inspiration" from my very modest loss. Especially as I'm perhaps "cheating" just a bit....

Sadly, my end of the month weight is exactly the same as my start of month weight---HOWEVER---my monthly average is down 1.6 pounds from the March Average!! emoticon

I weigh in daily on a chart at home, and periodically post to Spark. Its fascinating and motivating to me to see the variations.... I reached new lows this month for several of the weeks...just not this past week!! I am within that "last 8 lbs of a healthy BMI" so I need to accept its going to be a S_L_O_W journey. Overall I'm going the correct direction though. I am going to go back through my tracking for the month to focus on what I was doing to obtain the lows, and try to recreate the same this next month. MAY IS GOING TO BE A WINNER!!

I am now down 5 for April - but will weigh in on the first of May for the final total. started 281, week one stayed same, week 2 down a pound, week 3 stayed the same, and this week I am down 4 pounds - for a 276 weigh in.

I too have a goal of 10 lbs lost in April. I weighed myself today and am down 6 lbs, so not quite there. But as many have said already, I am celebrating what I have lost and my renewed desire to change my behaviors.

Gotta love (hate) weight fluctuations. Since I got on the scale midweek Friday, my weight has been up. .6 Fri, .6 Sat, and .2 Sun. And today I get on the scale for my weekly weigh in and it's down 1 lb for the week. Not sure if it's a fluke or what. I guess I'll be rechecking it tomorrow to see.

I believe that's a 4lb total for this month so far with one week to go.

Hmmm...maybe its the waxing phase of the moon or the meteorite shower.... I'm also up just a bit on my mid-to-end of week...!

I have consciously upped my calories to top of my range & over a few days... since I've been doing lots more outdoor exercise with the improved weather. Maybe I've got it t.o..o..o far up!! :( I've also started tracking a few more nutrients since I haven't played with that before. I'm thinking as I'm getting older (and doing more controlled eating) perhaps I've become somewhat more sensitive to sodium effects, so I want to watch & learn what its doing to me. I do take blood pressure meds, but I also know that not all blood pressure issues are sodium mediated.....

Everyone have a great day, and good weigh ins!! Even if we aren't down as much as we'd like, remember we ARE being more mindful to eating healthy!!

Oh those pesky 00 borders - I hung around bouncing up and down around that 00 mark that put me INTO the 200s for months. I think there is a psychological barrier for me to crossing that line. I certainly hope you are able to cross that line as ONEderland is a great place to be.

I've found lately the motivational high I get after saying no to something bad and not giving in is way better than the momentary taste of whatever I've just said no to. Keep it up. I'm up 1 pound this week. Not sure why. Have not cheated once since April 2. May be its just water. Oh well. Its only a pound.

I'm down another half pound. emoticon
This morning was actually up a bit again, but the 3 day average is down...so that's what I took for my weekly weigh in. It will keep me more motivated to keep it there!! Overall trend is going the right direction, so this challenge is helping me keep focused. I'm closer to goal weight than some, and I try to remember that S_L_O_W is the watchword!!

Hope you all have a more successful week than I do!! I look forward to seeing how everyone is doing--You're ALL an inspiration to me!!!

Down 4 pounds this week!! I have been very careful and followed my plan to the letter so I think that is making the difference. Have not gone out at all the last 2 week ends so have not had the temptation of making wrong food choices. Have an engagement party this week end so that could be challenging, but will try my best. Back from vacation and tomorrow is weigh day so I will see how I did. I hope all the walking I did makes up for all the food I ate. I didn't really over eat, but my food choices weren't the best as I am really picky about my food. I don't do well when I am away from what I know works. Good thing I walked all over Rome. I do give myself credit for not getting my own gelato. I just had a couple bites of my sons. emoticon

Ten pounds is do-able in April. We can do it! Remember to drink LOTS of water, especially with lemon slices in it. This will help flush your system and speed the weight loss.

Something else that also helps me - instead of saying "I did good last week, and I didn't cheat" I try to say "I FEEL good because last week I didn't cheat." It is a small thing, but I find that it helps me!

Count me in also! I would love to lose 10 lbs. this month, that's a big chunk but let's reach for it. I have been averaging 2 lbs. a week if that, I'll try to work extra hard and burn those calories and fat with you all. Good luck everyone, may the burn be with you! I'm off to do my strength training with my all time favorite trainer, Gilad.

Starting over after 18 months. Down 70 pounds, stayed about 163 for almost two years, now creeping up.
Don't think I can lose 10 pounds in April, but if I don't shoot for the stars I will definitely fall short!

Congrats to Debbie!! Way To Go!!

I weighed in today....only down 0.2 pounds, hardly noticeable but at least its the correct direction! Especially after the remainders of the Easter Ham this past week, I'm thinking maybe water retention from the salt. Time will tell, and I will keep focusing!

I too lose slowly but when I lose, it is usually a good amount - Average is about 5 pounds per month but sometimes it varies.
