I've been in the same situation. I just started back on a consistent routine and hadn't been seeing any results on the scale. I agree with taking measurements. Before I had any change at all on the scale, I saw a one inch loss in my waist and a half inch in each arm. At least I was seeing something. That and my increased energy was enough to keep me going until I start seeing results in a different way.

Good luck and keep up your hard work!!

Thank you everyone! I stepped on the scale tonight (even though I know better than to weigh myself at the end of my day) and BAM three pounds lighter. I am so happy. It's not much but at least I know SOMETHING is happening! I'm so excited!

But Coach Denise, it is SOOOO frustrating when that happens - I KNOW you have to be patient but patience when you FEEL like you are really doing great is HARD to maintain. I know that it pays off but I also know how hard it was for the first few months when I didn't lose anything and really had NOT been doing ANYTHING wrong - I ended up dropping more than 10 pounds two months straight.

Some people may not see a change on the scale for about 6 weeks, even if you are doing everything right. Are you also taking measurements? If not, I would recommend doing so because while the scale may not show any changes, your measurements may actually be changing as you lose fat and gain muscle. Muscle takes up less space than fat, so your clothes should start fitting better, but the scale may not reflect that change. I know it can be frustrating, but do your best to continue with your healthy habits and you will see positive changes.

you have to change the routine
any one in plateau if you started your workout with the cardio
change that and finish with the cardio and if you started with the strength change it and finish with it

i heard Bob Harper from the biggest loser said that

How are you doing on sodium and processed foods, both often account for slow and/or no weight loss and weight gains. Also not getting enough sleep can slow metabolism, as can eating too little or exercising too much for the amount you are eating. Thyroid is sometimes an issue. When was the last time you had a physical? Sometimes hormones or other health issues that are "silent" account for this sort of things also.

Sorry I didn't add my weight. I'm 197 and my goal is 135. So I have a long way to go. It's just so saddening when I try so hard for nothing.

Weight doesn't follow a mathematical pattern. Sometimes it just takes longer to lose anything - when I started it was more than 2 months before I lost anything and then dropped more than 10 pounds for two months in a row. I often go a long time between losses. I don't see what your weight is, how much you have to lose, or those kinds of things. The less you have to lose, the harder it is to lose, the closer you are to your goal the slower you will lose. I always assume that if I shake things up maybe I will lose - change workout routines, change from eating at low end of your calorie range to the higher end and then back down again. Make sure you are getting enough sleep. De-stress and make time for FUN as well as all the demands on your time. Keep on keeping on and you will surely see progress.

Don't be frustrated... there may be a ratio of muscle/fat exchange. Eventually it will come together. If it isn't working fast enough you can reduce the amount of calories a little bit, but I don't suggest going too little. Like 1200-1500 instead of 1400+. This will speed things up, just make sure to eat often and small amounts. Maybe, if you are eating/drinking sugar or sweeteners such as splenda/aspartame/etc, replace with stevia or raw sugar. Our body sugar levels raise with fake sugar as well as sugar, whereas stevia it doesn't and is 100% natural (being a plant and all) and make sure to drink the right amount of water for your body... Keep your groove, it will show eventually...

It isn't about weight. It is about being comfortable with your own skin...

It has been almost a month of me eating right (1400-1800 calories of GOOD food a day), working out 5-6 days a week and drinking lots of water. Today I weighed myself and I haven't lost ANYTHING. I don't understand what is going on. At the gym I run (c25k) and strength train. The weight should be falling off, but it's not!
