It helps me a great deal, to focus on what I CAN do, rather than what I CAN'T do. I prefer to walk outside, but we are in the cold, monsoon rain with a few tornado warnings thrown in, season here. sigh. No walking outside.
Like the pp said, there are a ton of videos here on Spark. I also have some workout dvd's that I like. Sure, it can be boring sometimes. But I'm not so much after brain-stimulating activity, than getting my cardio in. I swap around what I do, Spark or dvds. My neighbor has a treadmill-- he reads or listens to books on tape. You can get books on tape at a lot of libraries, so it doesn't even cost anything. The beauty of something like that is, if it's a good book, the time would just fly by.
I have a jump rope and never really worked at it long enough (ok, fine, I'll admit I tried it one time) to get any good at it-- I'm thinking I'll break that thing out and when it isn't too cold, try jumping in the garage.
