I had a similar problem - first year was great - second year I slipped up badly, stopped tracking, stopped exercising, and re-gained 14 lbs., mostly between September 1 and December 31, as we travelled for most of 3 months, then Christmas happened.
I wish I could tell you what was special about January 2, but I simply woke up that morning and said "okay - enough goofing off, it's time to get back on track. Since then I've lost 8 lbs., am tracking very carefully, balancing my carbs, fat and protein according to the %ages SP recommends, and exercising regularly. Cardio 3 or 4 times/week, and ST at least 3, often 5 times/week.
I honestly think it's a matter of just saying to yourself, "enough excuses, it's time", and doing it. My husband is not very supportive, and I'm a senior with some health problems, but I've figured out what works for me. I know that I have to stay with this program for the rest of my life or I will regain the weight, and probably more. I also know that there will be days when I over-eat, and days when I don't exercise, but there is no other way to be successful.
