This is something i've recently struggled with as well, and am doing much much better now. I think they key to my turn around with this is staying busy. I make sure to have something planned each day, specifically during the times when i knew i would have the urge to just sit and eat. Call a friend to go see a movie. Go shopping. Just get out of the house! I also DO allow myself a couple treats, if i go for dinner on the wkend i'll order a healthy salad, but will also have a glass of wine and maybe 1/2 of a dessert. Moderation is key! You will not ex-nay everything you did in the week if you go over your calories by 300 on Saturday and / or Sunday. It IS possible to change your habits, but it does take time. I've been really trying ever since the beginning of January and these things have really helped me. Good luck :)

We have several articles on the site that can offer good tips for surviving the weekends. Here is a search list to help you locate them.

I had the same problem, but I found if I gave myself a routine on the weekend (just like on weekdays), I was much more likely to stick to it. I still allowed myself to sleep in, but once I got up I would eat breakfast, and then about an hour later I'd do my workout. When I do that, it sets the pace for the rest of the day, and I don't want to overindulge in junk food later if I worked out that same morning.

I am having a hard time eating right and exercising over the weekend. For the past 3 weekends in a row I have over eaten and not exercised. Cheeseburgers, beer, pizza, donuts... I do really well during the week only to nuke the whole thing once the weekend comes. How do you maintain your self control on Saturday and Sunday?
