I have definitely lost weight before and gained a bunch back before (which is why I'm back to SparkPeople)
This time around, it has been really helpful to me to ease myself into things. For example, I started out by going on walks 4 times a week. Then I added some running in (and I don't love running, but I know it has given me awesome results before). Now, I run 4 days a week, hike 1(weekend day), and go on walks the other 2. If you get home from work late, try being active in the mornings.
Same thing with food - I started by cutting back from my fancy Starbucks drinks to the light, smaller versions. Now I try to drink mostly tea with some plain black coffee (with nonfat milk and splenda).
Make sure you don't just jump into everything, or you'll be overwhelmed!!
