I always tell myself that I'm just going to do something light-like a low setting on the stationary bike, but usually when I get there, I find that I'm not content with that, so I end up pushing myself for the full 60 minutes. I think what also helps me is just to get up, and get dressed into my workout clothes before I've had a real chance to think about it, that way there is no canceling.

*You can pray all you want, but if you're not getting up off your butt, NOTHING is going to happen.

*The longer you stay down, the heavier your burden will be when you decide to pick yourself back up.

*I am doing this for ONE reason only: To give myself the life I haven't lived yet

I'm planning a trip to Hawaii in November, so I just think about that (and how I want to look the best possible!!)

That usually keeps me going :-)

Mondays are always rough for me, since I usually take my rest day on Sundays. When I get up (at 5 am!) Monday morning I find it hard to get my head into the place it needs to be to really push myself. Whether it's right or wrong, I've made Mondays my "endurance day," by doing 45 minutes of steady cardio; that way I can sort of ease myself into the week and watch a show on Netflix or something as I keep a steady pace on the elliptical or what-have-you. Then I eat right all day and usually by Tuesday I'm ready for intervals and tougher stuff.

What do you guys do to get yourselves going on a day when you really just want to skip it?
