I wish I could give you some of my motivation, which is 10+ right now! Seriously, though, it must be very difficult to have to give up the exercise programs you would usually do. Would you be allowed to walk? If so, start with 2 or 3 blocks and work up. Walking is a great, non-stress exerise, and it really can work.
As far as not eating because you have time on your hands and can't do too much, how about using this time to start a new hobby or catch up on something you love to do. I'm sure there are lots of charities in your area that would welcome some hand-knit hats or mittens for kids, and nursing homes are always looking for lap robes for some of their residents.
Hope these suggestions help a bit.
