Some of the principles do apply. Addiction is addiction, regardless of whether or not it's alcohol or food. The only problem is, you can quit alcohol, but you can't quit food!
You do have to realize with both that this isn't a journey of perfection. You will mess up. You will have ups and downs. It's not about willpower, or being strong.
And the whole thing is a whole lot easier if you have someone to hold your hand through the process. We're here, and our hands are out, if you choose to accept them!
