Let me be one of the first to Welcome you to Sparkpeople. The first couple of days here are like the first days at a new school or a new job. You don't know where everything is, you're unfamiliar with the routine, and you don't know many people. But it's exciting too. You're having new experiences everyday and discovering new things not just about the web site, but about yourself too. And that's the coolest part.
As far as exercise for your first few days I always suggest SLOW and STEADY. It is almost always tempting to jump in with all of your enthusiasm and do too much too soon Follow Coach Nancy's advice and take it easy the first few days and let your body get used to exercise. As your body adjusts, you're going to be tempted again to do more than you are ready for, but don't give in. Remember the old saying "Slow and Steady wins the race." And this race is a marathon not a sprint.
This is enough to think about for now. If you like you can "friend" me and have access to my blogs. There might be something on there you can use as motivation, setting goals, exercise tips or something else.
