I do this too. It's helpful to step on the scale when I'm about to mindlessly eat.

Great insight. Be proud of you.

(it's better for the scale, too, to be away from the heat/humidity of a bathroom)...not that that is important, but just an added bonus

I wish you good success.

I am just starting out on my goal to loose 100 lbs. Grazing on food is my biggest downfall. By accident I brought my bathroom scale down to the kitchen to put new batteries in it. Sure enough the scale works fine now, but I forgot to take it back upstairs.

The kitchen is the better place to keep my bathroom scale. It makes sense to keep it in the place I love to graze. I use it more often. It doesn't discourage me to see variations in my weight. I think most rapid weight changes are due to water retention and loss anyways.

Tonight was a success. I was putting left over pizza away in the fridge. I nearly ate one of those slices like I have done a hundred times before. I stopped my self from eating that slice and stood on that scale. I finished putting away that pizza in the fridge and had a glass of water instead.

Its a first step. It was the first time the scale stopped me from eating something. I will be leaving the scale in the kitchen from now on.
