Thanks for all the encouragement! Also, I failed to realized I did not have any bowel movements yesterday! Sorry for being too blunt! But now... all is well :)

When you start doing more exercise, your body begins storing more fuel in your muscle cells, where it can be used easily and quickly to fuel your workouts. The process of converting glucose (carbohydrates) into fuel that your muscles actually store and use (glycogen) requires three molecules of water for every molecule of glucose. As your muscles are building up glycogen stores, your body has to retain extra water for this purpose. That's what causes most of the initial weight gain or lack of weight loss. This is a good thing—not something to worry about.

Coach Tanya

“Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do.”
—Goethe

"Losing weight is not a goal; it is a result."

"I think the purpose of life is to be useful, to be responsible, to be honorable, to be compassionate. It is, after all, to matter: to count, to stand for something, to have made some difference that you lived at all."

Make sure you are drinking enough water, getting enough sleep too. And make sure you are measuring everything. Keep a positive attitude and don't stress about it. This is a lifestyle change. Focus on the non-scale victories. Just be consistent and persistent.

maybe up your calorie intake. may need more energy for your exercise output. Don't fret. Don't worry. Stress packs on the pounds in the strangest ways. Keep your head in the game. your body will catch up.

So for the past ten days, I have been going to the gym to do cardio (at least 45 min/day) and strength training. I have also been counting calories and staying within my 1200-1400 range. The scale has been consistent, but it's only +/- 1 lb. It is NOT moving in the lower direction. Any suggestions/motivation tips to help me?

Thanks,
Krys :)
