Our local rec center has an indoor track where they hold stroller walk/runs a couple times of day. They also have mommy and baby swim and yoga. I think if you can find an activity that included your new baby but lets you get some exercise and some socialization with people in similar circumstances in it might make you feel better. If that doesn't work you may need some solo mommy time. A lot of gyms and rec centers do babysitting for an hour. That way you can take a class and just be you for a bit. I love being a stay at home mom, but sometimes I need a break. Babysitting services at the gym has been a godsend. I go workout, clear my mind for an hour. I am a much better mommy after that.

I have learned to give myself permission to do things just for me. It is not selfish, it is necessary for good mental health.

Getting fit!!!

I didn't have this idea in my head that I would go right back to "normal" after having my daughter in April. I knew it would take time and work to get myself to my new "normal", but I'm finding myself very frustrated trying to find that motivation.

Being a mommy is a very demanding job, and my daughter comes FIRST!

My question to the moms!
How did you find time for you? What was your favorite thing to do during that time?
