I usuallu try to eat something healthy instead. If I am craving sugary foods, I grab a piece of fruit as the natural sugars will deal to it.

If that doesnt work, I buy ONE SMALL chocolate bar (or whatever it is I am craving), and share it with hubby and kids. That way I wont eat it all and having one little bit usually does the trick.

I repeat to myself that I love myself more than I love food. Sometimes it takes a lot of repeating, but it helps. It helps me to give me back the power, and not giving food the power over me.

I keep any junk food out of the house and have replaced chips with popcorn and replaced any cookies etc with caramel rice cakes. Love both of them now!

I would say that planning out my day(s) (and sticking to it) really helps to keep me away from the junk food.

Is there something you guys do eat instead of the 'junk' that is healthier and satisfies your craving?

I drink some hot tea and keep busy. I also learned to view those junky foods as poison to my body - similiarly to people who used to smoke may view cigarettes.

Whenever I get a craving, I chew sugar-free gum. It's sweet enough to satisfy a sugar craving and it lasts for a while so the craving passes.

Stay busy. Also, when I walk on the treadmill, I have no desire to eat. I try to do this everynight because that is the time I usually want to eat the junk.

I read the nutritional information and put it back down and wait a while. Usually when I go back my husband has eaten them.

what little sweets I do have in the house are WAY back on the top shelf of the pantry with my goal weight printed in BIG numbers.

Usually stops me

the most helpful thing is to not bring it in the house in the first place

After I workout on the treadmill, I will take a picture of the distance, time and calories burned!! When I get the craving to eat "junk" I look at the picture and it reminds me how long Id have to run, ust to help burn off the calories!! I ask myself is this sweet stuff worth it?? My answer is NO!!
