I'm switching from 7pm-7am to 7am-7pm (this week) and noon-midnight (for good starting next week). I'm used to being able to go to the gym after I get off work in the morning. I've figured out how to make the meals work for me (yeah a lot of sandwiches and salads, but I try to bring something hot at least once for every batch of days I work.) I like bagels or toast. I'm using the sparkpeople food plan so I pick fairly portable things on the days I work. Today was bagel and cottage cheese. I ate the cottage cheese at home, the bagel in the car, and the fruit after I got here. It also keeps me held over a bit better. Working 12hour shifts on your feet makes you HUNGRY!!!

I pack my lunch for work the night before, when I know I have more time than I ever do in the morning. And, there are a lot of times when I prepare meals in bulk, knowing that I don't have time the next day. It's just about planning well, and you can totally do it.

I'm starting a new job on Monday, and I'm a little worried about how this will impact my workouts and my nutrition. I've been stay-at-home for the past few months and have gotten into the groove of working out around 2pm and having the time and resources to cook fresh meals throughout the day.
What do you find are the easiest breakfasts to grab on the way out the door, and lunches to pack for a day at work?
Any ideas on how to stay motivated with the workouts with this sudden schedule change??

Never exchange what you want MOST for what you want RIGHT NOW
