Hi Everyone,
Long lost soul here, I am checking it at 144.4 today and I have been maintaining that pretty well over several months.
Too busy -and procrastination has keep me from post.

So catch up, I am still working 8-9 hours a day, still walking, consistently get more than 10k and 18 flights of stairs. Been doing PT for a shoulder pain, final verdict, it was mostly my sleeping position causing irritated muscles to stay irritated. That is getting better.

Gloria I have been absent so long that we have not met, but I love your hair in the picture.

So my weight stayed the same! 153.4 I think I'm eating too many carbs, need to make changes. I hope I will make good choices on Memorial Day emoticon

Good morning everyone. It's emoticon Friday. I'm very happy to report that I stayed the same at 230 pounds. I was really trying to catch up with Dwayne. LOL

Mary where are you going on vacation this time?

Bernie I hope you did good in reaching your mini goal this month.

Today I'm meeting up with friends for breakfast. Then go for gas as tomorrow I'm going to a quilt show. My SIL makes quilts and I love to see the all the new ones that the women make over the year. I always buy tckets for the quilt that they raffle off each year maybe I'll be lucky and win it this year.

Went get a Summer hair cut today. Now I'll be ready for vacation next week!

Yes, tomorrow is emoticon day & it is also the last Friday of the month so we will find out who our "Biggest Loser" for May. It probably won't be me but I have given it a good try. emoticon

Hope everyone is having a great day = it is nice and sunny here

Am about to go and walk on the treadmill, then this afternoon think I will spend some time outside in the warm sun

Hubby is out looking at a new 'table desk' for my new laptop = we have one laptop set up in the 'office' and it is connect to the scanner and printer. The new laptop I have in the living room beside my lazy boy so he thought he would get me a nice table to put it on = he is such a sweet loving man thinking of me all the time

Today makes a streak of 31 days logged on and 233 days without pop = so am doing well.

Now to do s streak re water and walking on the treadmill

Have a good one = make some good memories

Good morning everyone. I guess everyone is busy . There are only a few posts on the board.

Yesterday had a great time with my friend. My DGD stopped over with our new GGD and my friend was very happy to see her. She got to hold her and she could practice doing so for her own GD which will be born in September. She is looking forward to the blessed day.

Today its going to be a stay at home day to get some baking done. That is after I have taken GGS to the daycare for his mom. It's a special day at the daycare as it's another child's birthday and they always make a special day out of it for them.

I'm going to try to get in my walk as well before I start on the baking. Hopefully hubby will be keeping himself busy and out of my hair as well. LOL

Just stopping in to say good night. Had a good day at work. We did clothes, dishes, allot of talking, got their printer working again, just little things to help out. My "Lil" guy doing well, helped him pack a few things for a family trip tomorrow. Was his last day of homeschool lessons so he's done for the summer.

All 6 of my grands & great grands have been promoted to the next grade for the next school year, 1 GGD > K, 1 GGD & 1 GS >2nd, 1GG >3rd, 1 GD >4th & 1 GS > Sr 2018.

Good morning everyone. Had a beautiful day yesterday. The weather was gorgeous. I did my power walk in the park with my friend and then w went back to her house to fix the sewing machine. That took me about an hour. Then we did our exercises and then off to Walart to out the small fridges for her. We bought a salad while we were there and went and ate it in the park. After I had dropped her off at home I came home and tried to sleep which didn't work. LOL But by 8;30 at night I was gone for.

Today we will be power walking again this morning and then I have a friend coming over to see me so the rest of the day will be quiet.

Good morning everyone. I've been up since 2;15am. Tried to go back to sleep but failed. I hoping I'll be able to have a emoticon when I get back from my walk.

I need to vacuum also when I get home as the dog is shedding and so is the cat. I could pass it everyday and believe me it would show each time. That's why hubby and I have decided that when they leave us there will be no more animals .

Gloria, be careful and don't run into any bears on your walk.

Morning!

Spent yesterday with my sister, which is always a great day. She doesn't diet or exercise so I didn't get my usual step goal, but today I am back on track. I made a pork tenderloin with a mustard horseradish sauce for dinner. It was yummy. Mr. Scale seems to be asleep as he hasn't moved emoticon emoticon
Going for a long walk around our college campus today with a friend. My friend saw a bear there on one of her walks last year emoticon

Hello all. Looks like I forgot to sign in yesterday. Thinking back, it's because I didn't even turn my computer on so I guess that's why. You could also say that I did indeed take some "ME" time because after dragging myself out of bed yesterday morning, I did manage to shower, dress, & attend church. Then came home, prepared grilled beef & bacon patties with a green salad full of fresh garden veggies, then reclined with a book on my new tablet & read till bedtime. I felt so much better today & did go to work. My "lil guy's" mom didn't want me to do much so we had a lazy day with very little work. emoticon

This afternoon we made a trip over to see one of my sweet Sis & enjoyed talking over coffee. Tomorrow I'm heading out of town for a committee meeting so I'm heading for bed to find a new book to start reading.

Hope you are all having a warm / hot day today - I know we are.

Shopped this morning for things for new great granddaughter (1st great to be born) - she is due by the end of the week. Have a quilt ready and just finishing up a crochet blanket = now to get them shipped to her! ! !

Now off to make my grocery list = have meals all planned for the week and am looking forward to trying the new recipes

Margaret, thanks for clearing up the 'walk in the snow' issue, but still?!?!?! What would you have said if one of your children had done that? HMMM? I don't think Mom would be too pleased with that. Will look into a energy saving A/C unit but I don't think it's going to happen right now. Other plans, so I'll just deal with it for now. Sounds like you're getting a deal with the cell phone and "Tech Support" to fix a sewing machine, LOL. Sometimes I think I know what I'm doing with computers then I remind myself ' I know just enough to make myself dangerous...'

Gloria, beautiful plant you've got there. My DW would love something like that. Glad you appreciate the week-ends with your DH. So important for that time together.

Marilyn, I so admire your committment to your weigh-loss program and all the planning you do. As they say 'fail to plan, plan to fail' and I think you're doing great. We all have the setbacks and get frustrated when we're doing everything right and not seeing results, but it happens, so stick with what you're doing You've seen results from it and your attitude about it is 'over the top' so keep it going.

Well, going to have a little breakfast, then the gym. Here's to us all and the week ahead.

Gloria, Your bush is beautiful. I have no idea what it's called but I would love to have one. How long does it stay in bloom?

Marilyn, don't stress yourself out. If you start stressing out over loosing weight it won't help you. Take it slowly and do what you have been doing in planning your meals and doing your exercise. It will pay off for sure. Hang in there.

Dwayne, now when I say I walked in the snow to get to the house . I took about 30 steps in it and it felt good. LOL. Don't worry I couldn't have walked more even if I had wanted to. Not at that time anyway.

Bernie, see the scale is still going in the right direction for you. You'll soon be at your mini goal.

Mary, did you get to have some me time over the week end? I sure hope you had a restful one and that your not working today.

Dwayne, I was wondering about your AC. We had a new heat pump put in just after Christmas. Our old one ran on a gas called 'free-on' . It also used a lot of electricity. The new one we have is a green energy saver unit. It takes only 2kilowatts to run it in stead of the old one which cost close to 10 kilowatts. It doesn't make as much noise as the old one as well. Maybe you should check into it to see if it would help you save money.

Today I'm meeting up with friends and then I'll be helping one of them fix her sewing machine. But while I'm doing that her daughter will get my cell phone working properly. Now that's not a bad trade off.

It's Sunday! My husband isn't retired, so the weekends are for "us". Here's hoping that each of you feel better, get some me time and do whatever it is to have a good day!

Hope you are all enjoying this great Sunday = it is warm here where I am and looks like it is going to be like yesterday = hot in the afternoon (so hot that we thought we should turn on the air conditioner but we didn't as it seems to early for that)

Am finishing putting together 7 menus for the coming week = a few new recipes to try = all days are low in sodium and the starchy carbs are out = so hopepfully I will see good results

Mary sounds like you're having a tough time of it. I know you're grateful for your DH's help. See, we can be good when we need to be. It's just not in our 'normal attitude'...LOL. Just hope you're feeling better today and taking it easy. Mary, you always seem to fill your day's too full. Like trying to put 10 pounds of potatos into a 5 pound bag. I know you're doing it for your family and that is so great, but you need some "ME" time for yourself and how much of that do you get every day? Do you get any? Just curious.

Hi Bernie, short post from you. I've been there more then a few times, but glad to hear from you. Hope your friend Barb is doing well.

Marilyn, always enjoy the little quotes on your posts. So many really 'hit the mark' for the day. I know that lowering the carbs and sodium seem to be so difficult. For me to hit 50g's of carbs a day or less is really hard, unless I eat meat and eggs all day. Not the best diet there, so I try to add the low-carb veggies and really limit fruit to 1 a day. I know that's not what 'professionals' would recommend but what if your Dr. tells you otherwise. I know most Dr.s' if you go and say I'm not going to follow your advice then they're going to say then why bother coming to me? Just hope you're doing well with your new diet. Let us all know.

Margaret, walking through snow in your stocking feet?!?!?! REALLY? I can't believe I read that. Just glad you didn't do too much harm to yourself. I think the 2 days before they were back to normal was a 'punishment' for not using better sense. Didn't you have anything you could have put on to get into the house? Maybe your DH's boots after he changed shoes? Next time young lady, think out of the box. There, my parenting is done for today...I hope?

Linda, don't know if you're still visiting your son or if you're home now, but here's to your having a great time and trip.

Weather here is HOT! In the 90's this week-end and A/C is running too much. Hate the sound of it coming on as it's $'s to run the thing. But DW needs the relief or she's miserable. By next week-end it will be down 20+ degrees again. Well, off to the gym shortly, then starting on cleaning up 'messes' that I haven't been good about taking care of. Now I've got more to do and I can only blame myself for slacking off. Good morning everyone. It got cold over night . What a change in the weather since Thursday. We had 35 c on Thursday then on Friday it was down on the 20's . This morning it's 5c but it should be at 16 by this afternoon. You just don't know how to dress anymore.

Mary, isn't it awful how we swell up when we have been cooped up in the car all day? I remember taking a trip with hubby to go to a funeral . We left by bus at 9 pm and arrived at 5;30am. stayed the day and got back on the bus again at 12am and with all the delays on the way home we got back into the city at 5pm . I could barely walk. My snow boots were killing me. I had to wait in town where my hubby worked at the time and I thought ok I'll take my boots off while I was waiting for him to check over his building. That was a big mistake 2 hours later I couldn't get them back on so I came home with out them on and walked threw the snow to get into the house in stocking feet. It took 2 days before they were back to normal.

Linda, hope you have a lovely weekend with your son and GD. Take care.

I'm going grocery shopping this morning with DD and GGS . It seems like it's going to be a weekly routine. LOL

I had a very long day on the road yesterday going to Galveston to pick up a GS from work. Brought his sweet wife & 2 GGDs with us. Took them to the beach & out of LA for the first time. They had fun. He made it in from offshore late afternoon, we ate then got back on the road, headed into traffic jam, finally made it back close to midnight. Today I am feeling the after effects of the long drive & not worth a flip so it's a gown day. Needless to say, my feet & legs were major swollen by the time we made it to bed last night so the scale this morning did not reflect the progress I made this week but I did still weight what I did last week. I know it will be back down by tomorrow I'm sure.

Glad to see you back Agnes. Thankful it was not illness that kept you away.

Nice warm day so far = could be hotter this afternoon = hubby said he is going to continue working in flower beds which is nice. Have 2 large pots now ready - think we will get some lilies for them

Scale is not nice again = it is going the wrong way! ! !

So am really going to have to be more careful what I put into my mouth - to many carbs and much to much sodium is doing it though the calorie intake seems ok.

So am going to have to go back to the basics - leaving behind bread, potatoes, rice, spaghetti and having a lot more veggs in order to get back on the right path.

As I am not a big fan of veggs I am going to start 'roasting' them I think to see if that will help.

Margaret, Good to see the scale is heading downward again for you. Keep it up and you'll be down in no time. It can be done.
I am just checking a few things on the computer then will be turning it off. I am heading up island later today to stay with my son and GD. Will be gone for the weekend so I hope I can stay mostly pain free or I will be a mess. Now I am heading for a rest as I did not sleep well last night.

Morning all!

My weight today is 153.4, not much progress. I'll have to have a talk with myself to get the right mindset.......no more gobs!

We are in this together, it's nice to know we are not alone. Sending good thoughts for a pain free, stress free day, healthy day!

Good morning everyone. It's emoticon Friday. My weigh in for this morning is 230pounds. That is one pound down from last week. Hope you all have a good weigh in.

Today I'm meeting up with the girls and going for breakfast. I plan on sticking to my plan and within my calories.

We are walking first and then when I get home I'll do my exercises if everything goes ok that is and I don't get any last minute phone calls which send off my whole day.

Yesterday I got my cleaning done and vacuumed the house . Did my washing and got it all out on the line. The dog wasn't happy with me because I washed his 2 beds and he had to lay on the carpet for the day. LOL. Then my friend from Vancouver came over for a visit . She will be here for a few months so am looking forward to seeing her more.

Sun is shining so am hoping that it is going to be a nice warm day today. Need to go to foot doctor this afternoon - with a sore tail bone it is going to be interesting

Got out one of my cookbooks that deals with low carbs and low sodium so am going to review some of the recipes and incorporate some of them into my food plan for the next 2 weeks and see how it goes

Good Morning '48ers,

Missed posting yesterday to the board. One of those days where I just let it get away from me. Don't feel like I was super-busy or anything, just didn't get to it. Got a Dentist appt. today to remove the 2 remaining screws that were left when an implant broke off about a month ago. Great, just what I need right now, another expense, and wondering why this implant, which is supposed to be permanent, wasn't? Dentist who put it in passed away almost 2 years ago and I miss him a lot. He was the best I'd ever gone to.

Margaret, sounds like you're doing well and keeping busy.

Agnes, good to see your post and so surprised by the construction that's creating all the turmoil for you. I can't imagine that happening here because the neighborhood would be in an uproar. Another thing, when you don't have the Internet you lose your Spark streaks which I think there should be a way to retrieve and go forward without a penalty that's out of your control.. I know that's a really trivial matter, but it bugs me. I'd just be worried about food and the issues associated with cooking, keeping the food and that kind of thing. Just glad you're getting through it. Hope it's all worth it.

Marilyn, my Dr. has me on a low-carb diet and I must say I don't do too well on it. I have tortillas - low carb, high fiber - often, rarely do too much pasta, rice, potatos, etc. I aim for 50g's of carbs or less per day but it's hard. Sodium is another tough one. Keep us all informed on your progress.

Mary, sounds like DD is getting a real treat. Awesome thing for your GS to do for his mom. Tell him he's a 'Hero' for doing that. There's not enough of that thought for the parents anymore in this country. Hope your tests went well.

Gloria, thanks for the picture of the 'Gob'. Doesn't look like something I'd eat, but that's me and chocolate cake-like things...LOL!

Linda, sorry to hear you're not getting too much relief from your pain. Hope your Dr. can give you more answers and get you some relief. Hoping your dealing with the house painters ends soon also.

Well, off for some breakfast, then the gym and a couple of errands before the Dentist..YEA! NOT!

Good morning everyone.

Agnes, nice to see your post. We were getting worried about you. So glade you and hubby are fine except for all the construction going on. But at least it wasn't going on in the winter more so with no power. At least now at this time you have your BBQ to use to make the food. Oh well think of it as camping with some benefits. At least you can sleep in your bed and get away from the misquitoes. Hope your having lovely weather like we are. We have to take it while it passes.

I have a busy day planed today. With house work and I'd like to get my windows done as well but I think I'll need hubby's help with them.

Hi Everyone,
Sorry I haven't been posting lately, but my Internet has been down for many days. We have major construction going on at the road at the end of our road. Some days there's no power at our house, some days no water, and for several days no Internet/phone. Whew! But internet came on last night, so I thought I'd check in. Our lives have been crazy with these things and detours, however it will be a good thing when the work is done.

I hope you are all doing well. I will try to catch up with posts. I haven't been doing great with eating, and haven't been able to track my food on SP because of the internet. It's amazing how tied I am to it!

Hope you are all having a great day.

I am struggling with getting the carbs and sodium under control. Changes I have been making are still now in line with these two items.

So am thinking I am really going to have to go back to the basics = eliminating bread, potatoes, rice, spaghetti for a limited time = think I will have to set a goal of an amount of weight to lose before I have a meal that includes any of these foods.

So am relooking at my food plan and see how that would look

Good morning everyone.

What a lovely day here today. High temps and I've done my walking and other exercises so far. I can't stay outside to much on the sun right now as it hurts my eyes but doing it before the sun gets to bright and hot makes my day. I'm going to try to get DD to walk with me tonight.

Mary, your doing great. Keep up that walking.

Gloria, You keep doing what your doing and those pants will fit you better before long.

Still nothing from Agnes, I'm hoping everything is ok with her.

Working today but will take a short break to run over a few blocks for a gyn annual appt. Hope it won't take too long. One of the perks of this job is that I can work around appts like this.

DD & GS leaving tomorrow for a trip. He is treating his mom to NY to see friends & a side trip to the Falls. She is really excited. She a hard worker, has raised her 3 boys on her own & still working 2 jobs. I'm so happy he's doing this for her. It also means we will have the house to ourselves for 10 days! emoticon

Had a long day but got oil change done & a few other errands. After supper, DH & I did go for a 20 minute walk. I slipped some on the walking last week but 1 down for this week, 2 more to go. Clothes fitting a little better. Got to go!

Good Morning, First of all thanks for all the mothers day wishes. I did have a wonderful day. Started with a lovely breakfast of waffles and fruit. This was made by my DD as her kids did alot of the work for her as it was also her special day from her kids. Fun breakfast. Then had nice gifts of garden accessories and a couple of new and stylish blouses.Then went out for dinner at a sister in laws place.
Well had the massage which felt good as she did it, but when got up to leave felt really sore. Have been dealing with alot of pain since. Will see dr. tomorrow for results of cat scan and lab work. Then find out if I should go for another massage in two weeks time or not. ...
The painters are here again. Working right outside my door and now I have to take my dog out by going upstairs and thru the DD house. Once they finished this side of the house it will be fine, but now especialy when its raining is a big nusance.
I have been in so much pain I can't think straight. Walking seems to help, so Id better get dressed and get the dog out.

Sounds like most of you are doing well.

Margaret, glad to hear you're getting some relief for what ails you. Just wondering why it took you a 'few weeks' to go to the Dr.? Being a bit stubborn there young lady? That does sound like a long day. I know my DW would be climbing the walls if she had to go through that.

Mary, your Pork roast sounded delicious. Hope you're getting in your workouts and you're keeping those numbers moving down.

Gloria, I've never heard of a 'gob' or a 'whoopie' pie? What is it? Inquiring minds want to know, at least this mind does! You're so right about that mindful eating. I'm slowly learning after I eat if I still feel hungry, wait 20 minutes and see if I still feel that way. If so I eat a bit more, not a full serving though. Most times after the 20+ min. I'm not hungry. Guess we're all still learning.

Marilyn, glad you're enjoying your 100 Day plan so much. Enjoy reading your progress with the program. I miss our son's when they're gone, but DW and I would love to experience an 'empty nest' for a bit...LOL!

As for Mother's Day and my DW; she can not stand this day. Says it's a ploy by the card companies to make money...LOL! She never asks for anything but I always get her a little something. As for Father's day that one I try to sneak by, but family insists, yet I resist. I just feel Moms do everything, us guys just work and are there for support when it's needed. I know there are Dads out there doing it all and I have so much respect for them. It's just in my case my DW did it all...

Well, off to the gym shortly, hoping all of you have a great day and get some exercise in, eat mindfully and be grateul often...

Well, I'm finding that with any special occasion, I feel that is my excuse to slip. I ate a gob (that's what we call it in Pa. you might know it as a whoopie pie), not just a bite, but the entire gob. Like they say tomorrow starts a new day, so I am going to practice mindful eating.

It's an absolutely beautiful day here and today is Primary Election Day so I will exercise my right to vote. emoticon

Good morning everyone. I starter the day off yesterday in the doctors office. My eye has been bothering me for a few weeks . After seeing the doctor she sent me to where I bought my glasses for more testing. After being poked there she sent me on to a real eye doctor where after some time I found out my eye was quite swollen behind the eyeball itself. Came home with 3 types of medication and another visit in 2 weeks. I left at 10 and got back home at 5 15 . It made for a very tiring day. By the time I did get home I was so tired I went to bed at 8.

Today I have an appointment at the ear specialist. I have an hearing test to do first and I don't know if I'll get to see the person for the hearing aids or not so I have to wait and see. After that I will meet up with DGD and new GGD at Walmart so she can show the ladies her new bundle of joy.

Daughter returned home after a 4 night stay in respite = I miss her so much when she is gone but it is nice to have the break

Day 8 for 100 days from now = am proud of myself for completing one complete week = now onto week 2

Need to incorporate the treadmill this week = that is my goal for the week

Hope all had a blessed day yesterday. I sure did. Pork roast cooked in the oven while we went to church and was oh so good. No dessert but enjoyed the afternoon with youngest DD & youngest GS as well as DGD & 2 GGDs.

This morning for the 2nd day, I am seeing lower numbers on the scale so I am much encouraged.

Bernie, you said you only lost 0.5 lb but I had you down for 182 last Friday so according to your weight banner you are at 181? That's a 1 lb loss for the week!!

Good afternoon everyone. Little late checking in today. Got up did the washing and got dressed to go out with my DD and GGS. Then there was a lot of running around.

Bernie, that's so awesome what they're doing for 10 year olds. Too many people, even in college have no clues about business, finance, even balancing a check book. Still reminds me of the saying 'how can I be out of money I've still got checks?!?!?!'.

Sleeping was terrible last night. Slept for about 4 hours then couldn't fall back asleep, so I got up for a couple hours, then went back to bed and slept another 5 hours - way too much for me. Feel groggy and hard to get moving...LOL!

Good morning all. Back surgery went well and I was released from the hospital after 2 days. The worst is in healing process of the incisions. That and remembering not to overdo. My last weighing before surgery showed down 3 pounds in the last month. I am on light movement and activity until I go back for a dr appt on the 25th. Hope the walking and stuff I have been able to do is enough to keep the weight I have lost off. emoticon

Bernie......what a great idea to have that program for ten year old, never too young to learn about business! Lucky you to be close to your family. Two of my grandchildren live in North Carolina. Thank goodness for FaceTime.

Good morning,

My GS program was the ending to their learning about business, creating one, mission statement, profit & loss, advertisement, etc. They began by singing jingles from commercials and adding some unexpected little quirks which made us all laugh. Then we retired to their classrooms where each child had set up their business proposal with charts, pictures, etc. We had to go around to each child's display and they presented their business plan to us and ask us to invest. It was great fun to see what they had come up with and how each one gave their presentation (at age 10 you can imagine the variance in how they spoke) and interacted with the adults.

My weigh in is disappointing for me since I got in a lot of exercise this week and tracked my food eating below calorie limit. But it is a loss so I'll take it. emoticon .5. Which means I need to drop 1.5 pound next week to stay on track for my mini goal.

Linda, I pray that you will find something to relieve the horrible pain you are having. I know how draining that can be. Did the massage help at all?

Gotta run. Off to watch GS soccer tournament.

Hope you are all having a great Friday = remember just because it is the weekend doesn't mean you need to eat unhealthy

Todays weight = 281

Day 5 of 100 days from now = love the questions that go along with this = really helping me stay focused and getting to know why I am doing things the way I am = making me really think.

Today I am going to work for 20 minutes on the treadmill = didn't get it done yesterday so will do it today with today's

Relooking at the food I eat = want to work on getting the sodium way down as I am retaining fluid and that is not nice.

Gloria, if you post your weight for today I'm sure it'll be ok with everyone for you to join in for the month. Also if you go to your "My Trackers " right besides the start button and when the scroll comes down you will find "My Weight" click on that and enter your weight and then press save. That way it will show on your tracker. I hope this helps you. I just noticed you don't have a tracker on your post. If you go to your spark page you'll see a place to set one up.

Good morning everyone. It's emoticon Friday. I weighed in at 231 this morning so that is a 2 pound drop since last week. Hope you all have a great weigh in.

Linda, so sorry your in so much pain again. I hope the scan has good results for you. . Just to say your in my prayers daily. Take care and don't forget to breath.

Myriam, your doing great on your 100 day plan keep up the good work.

Gloria, isn't it funny when you see your sons class mates do well for themselves and in your mind you still remember him in his school days? It always get to me to see how they have grown over the years.

Dwayne, we were affected as much as you down there when 9 11 happened. I remember I couldn't take my eyes off the TV. But honestly it's one day right up there with the ascenation of JFK that I will never forget.

Today I'll be meeting up with my friends and my sister for breakfast. We are trying out a new restaurant to see if we might be able to hold one of our breakfasts there for the motorcycle club. I hope it works out.

Starting tomorrow we are in for another 3 days of heavy rain again. The total for the 3 days is up around 55mm again. Hopefully the wall will hold where my son is.

Good Morning all, I have not been on my computer much lately but I have been eating properly. Today I go for another cat scan. Hoping that things have not flared up again or it will be chemo this time. Uggh.
Today the painters arrived to paint the house outside. It is a huge house and they have decided to start on my side. Only thing is I can see them thru my windows and they are trampling all over my veggie garden. Cant see the seeded veggies, but if they wreck my tomato, and squash plants I will be very annoyed.They have the garden covered up with a tarp, but they cant see where they are stepping so I worry my plants will be destroyed.
I am very hungry right now but cant eat until after I have the scan which is later. Just have to drink lots of water before and after.
I like the idea of the cucumber and cheese snacks . Will try that later today.
Margaret, Glad the flooding problem has eased up a little. Such a mess and terrible worry for all involved.
Cant consentrate on what I am doing. Pain is still unbearable at times. Bye for now.

Bernie, waiting to hear what the 'surprise' was that your GS's school had for everyone. I'm sure it was great and you must have loved it. Just waiting to hear.

Marilyn, I so cracked up when I saw that face on your post. In the past, 'been there, done that...'. Thanks for the laugh. Glad to hear you're enjoying your new workout routine. One of the most important things I think is doing something you enjoy and will stick with it.

Mary, back to your ol' 'Energizer Bunny' routine it sounds like. Hope you're getting some "ME" time in every day for yourself. That's an important thing to remember.

Margaret, I'll give the smoothie idea for breakfast a try. There are some mornings I don't feel hungry enough to eat anything, but a smoothie is doable. Thank your friend for the idea. Love learning new tricks.

Gloria, I can only imagine what that day must have been like for your community. I still remember where I was when I first heard of something going on in NYC and then saw it on TV. Saw that 2nd plane go into the Tower and just couldn't believe what I was seeing. Something I think this entire country won't forget, it's just that it seems that those in college were too young to remember and they don't feel it like us 'oldsters' do.

Well off for some breakfast, then the gym then back to the "Honey Do" list. Hope all have a 'Terrific Thursday'...

Good morning!

I live in western Pennsylvania five miles from Flight 93 National Memorial. September 11 is one day we who live in this area will never forget. I live in a small community which is so small that the manager of Ruby Tuesday is a young man who was a classmate of one of our sons. Last evening we dined there and he informed us that his restaurant is ranked No 1 in the world in this chain. Impressive..........I had the tilapia and brocolli. However I did eat one cheddar cheese biscuit. emoticon

Hope everyone is doing well this morning and keeping that " '48er Fever' " going!

Gloria, I do workout at the gym every day, or attempt to. Sometimes I get in my own way though and give myself too many excuses to get 'out' of going. Need to re-think that and give myself all the reasons TO GO!

Mary, you are an 'Angel' for all you do. Here's to a good check-up with your Dr. I'm sure your friend will appreciate the flowers.

Margaret, how is your DS doing with the wet weather? Hoping all his efforts paid off for him. Sounds like he had a good plan with the blocks behind the bags. Glad to hear he worked with his neighbors on their homes. I can understand now your idea for the water instead of coffee and you're right, it does count towards your 8 glasses a day.

Bernie, how is DH's project with the backyard going? So had to laugh over your 'mention' of the layer of dust he's created in the house. Surprised that didn't 'arouse' you a bit more and toss him a duster to clean it all up...LOL.

Well, going to the gym in a little bit. Got up early - just after 5 - this morning so going to eat a little breakfast first. Hoping all of you have a great day and get your exercise time in.

Good morning everyone.

Gloria, When I want to throw away things I make sure that hubby is gone for the day. Preferably on garbage day. emoticon He's none the wiser.

Dwayne, hubby hols on to everything right down to a screw. It gets on my nerves sometimes especially when the article is broken and can't be repaired he will keep it in case he needs a part for something else.

Today my walking buddy and I will be doing day2 of power walking. So far so good. Wish me luck.

Our weather right now feels like Fall. We have a little sun but mostly cloudy. They are announcing heavy rain again for 3 days. Starting on Saturday going to all day Monday. In total we should end up with app.55mm again. The water has receded a few mm. But the people are bracing themselves again for more.
